Very tough draw, hopefully Kelly can make a good account of himself.

Cuba may well end up with 5 golds here.

    Ramirez has everything

Ramirez was excellent, boxed so well, so comfortable.

I don't think it's going to end well for Kelly.

What do you have to do to beat a Brazilian boxer here?

The commentary in the UK is disgusting, you would think this Brazilian is the second coming of Ray Robinson.

The Algerian Chadi has done enough in the first rounds for me and they have both been split for the Brazilian.

Poor scoring today, earlier there was a dodgy decision in my opinion, Hamout (Morocco) beat Butsenko (Ukraine), the referee took a point from Butsenko for nothing as far as I could see, the referee didn't even make it clear what he took it for.

Even with the point I couldn't see how they scored it the way of Hamout.

Donnelly has fast hands and good feet but could do with tightening his defence.

Mother of God how did one judge score that fight for Byambyn? Only the second round was even close.

The standard of refereeing has been very mixed. Some of them seem to think that it's their job to determine the winner. And when they aren't deducting points for nothing, some of them seem to think that no contest should go longer than ten seconds without one boxer or other hearing their words of wisdom.

A lot of you guys love La Cruz, but Robeisy Ramirez looked flawless and I think is the best boxer in the Olympics. Stevenson's good, but I can't wait to see Ramirez destroy American dreams when he beats him :thumbsup

More of us have seen La Cruz before, I suspect. Ramirez did look excellent, but to be honest three or four of this crop of Cubans look superb. We'll have a better picture at the end of the tournament rather than after nine minutes.

We should be familiar with Ramirez from 2012. I think people are excited about La Cruz because he's fresh blood. Ramirez apparently wasn't too motivated on the amateur circuit for a while, then hit top form again at qualification.

One of the other superb Cubans is up next, Iglesias.
