I can give Diaz bros credit where they deserve it. Good jits, some judo sweeps and throws, tough as they come, a lot of stamina.
What they understand is how to throw a high volume of punches mixing in fast shots and turning over a hard one here or there.
A little better the average bothers in the ufc.

    Horrible footwork.
Anyone that has good footwork and understands how to take away punches with footwork will give them fits. They can never get set to throw cuz they are always off balance and the tech on their punches is pure garbage. No defense at all. They throw bow and arrow jabs. Where you jab and the opposite hand goes down to their waste.
They would be pathetic in a boxing match. They wouldn't even be .500 amatuers.
Jorge Masvidal is and has been the best pure boxer in mma.

    Spot on, especially with Nick.

What do you think of Albert Tumenov?

I like tumenovs boxing. He's one of the better boxers in ufc. He's got good range, good left hook, good jab. He looked strong and accurate against Jouban. His boxing was also good in the Larkin fight.
Magomedov is pretty good at 155 aswell

How common is it for up-coming mma dudes to just head down to where the boxers train and just try and learn some fundamentals :think

Im not surprised that alot of boxers could defeat mma dudes but you also have to remember they are using smaller gloves which changes the dynamics.

With the amount of waffle here it seems it's 1916 instead of 2016.

Squash players H2H with tennis players, golfers H2H with baseball players, NFL players H2H with Rugby players - it's obviously easy to just change codes in pro sports.:patsch

Forget MMA all you bias boxing fans - show me some pro boxers who have defeated pro Muay Thai fighters. :deal You can't - those foolish enough to try have had there heads kicked in.

Happens every day of the week in my neck of the woods. MMA and Thai fighters in our circuit are expected to work and quickly forgotten if they don't - no patience with being precious about who is offering quality rounds.

the most predominant thing used in MMA is punches. The striking/boxing is still important. Apples and oranges nonetheless.

The boxing hand wraps change the dynamic more then the gloves. Mma gloves don't allow for proper wraps. Getting hit with proper wraps and 10 oz gloves is a lot greater then an mma glove without proper wraps .

MMA striking on the whole is still oretty laughable compared to boxing and even kickboxing, but there are definitely some guy who know what they're doing. Mousasi has great boxing. Kharitonov was a solid amateur, some of the lower weight guys like Cruz are pretty good too.

Arum is an old fart... He doesn't know **** about MMA.

As for Rousey her striking is pretty laughable, but thats only because she just started with it a couple of years ago. Shes a Judoka first and foremost.
