Always a good thread even if done to death...

Wlad (personality of a piece of dry wall)
    Casamayor (amazingly humble)
    Kid Diamond
Angel Manfredy (Sparred him even though I weighed about 75lbs more than him with a 7inch height advantage lol)
Trinidad (Larger than life personality, massive mitts for a guy his size)
    Kendal Holt
Paulie Magic Man (great dude, incredible boxing knowledge and extremely personable)
    Shannon the cannon
    Roberto Duran
Miguel Cotto (humble guy despite the fame)
    Ricardo Torres
    Andre Berto
Shane Mosely (Nicest guy in the world)

The fighters I've actually met and talked to or spent time with are:
    George Foreman
Sugar Ray Leonard (spent about an hour with him, just the two of us)
    Roy Jones
    Lamon Brewster
    Fres Oquendo
    Andrew Golota
    Buster Douglas
    Audley Harrison
    Bruce Seldon
    Dannell Nicholson
    Axel Shulz
    Hasim Rahman
    Berman Stiverne
    Derrick Jefferson
    Oliver McCall
    Monte Barrett
    Mariusz Wach
    Lawrence Clay-Bey
    Calvin Brock
    Przemyslaw Saleta
    Kevin McBride
    B.J. Flores
    Andy Lee
    Fernando Vargas
    Javier Castillejo
    Ricardo Mayorga
    Johnny Tapia
Humberto Soto (hung out in his dressing room after he won the title against Juarez)
    Rocky Juarez
    Jesus Chavez
    Lucas Matthysse
    David Diaz
    Angel Manfredy
    Rafael Ruelas
    Zab Judah
    Kevin Kelley
    Juan Lazcano

There were more, but they aren't as well known. People like Anthony Hanshaw. Sechew Powell.

I also met and talked to Don King, Jose Sulaiman (the late great), Jimmy Lennon Jr., Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant.

I guess I've met quite a few. All of them were nice guys.

I've met several from that list just didn't spend a lot of time with them....Monte Barrett actually spent a lot of time doing security work for several celebs and he was a pretty cool guy, I met him at broadway boxing about 10 years ago and he sized me up and asked if I wanted to spar some of his prospects....nice experience.

Monte Barrett was a nice guy. I spent some time with him before his fight with Rahman. He was very friendly. But he was pretty c0cky. He and Nate Jones, who showed up to joke around with him, started talking. They were both amateurs together. And Jones made the 1996 Olympic team. But they were both really dishing on Lamon Brewster (who, at the time, was the WBO champ). They were kind of laughing going, "Out of all of us, can you believe HE won a title." Like they felt they were so much better than Brewster was when they were amateurs.

(Which was also weird because Brewster basically ended Jones' pro career. Jones had to retire with neurological problems after that beatdown.)

After the fight (Barrett-Rahman), which was pretty forgettable, Monte kind of had a meltdown at the post-fight press conference and claimed the fight was fixed and the judges were paid off.

After his rant, Don King got up and really laid into him in front of everybody about how dare he insult the local commission and the judges and Bill Wirtz, who owned the Blackhawks at the time and the United Center where the fight was held.

Barrett really thought he was going to win in the days before the fight. But when he lost, he really didn't handle it well. He was pretty beat up after the fight. An hour or so after the cameras were turned off, he swelled up pretty good. I'm sure it was a low point for him. I don't really think about that part when I recall meeting him. More about the days leading up to the fight.

Great recollection man, I truly appreciate you sharing the experience.

I can certainly see the arrogance from Monte, it was in him though I believe for the most part he was a genuine dude. I sparred with Angel Manfred some time after he was crushed by Floyd and that loss left him mentally scarred as well....we went out after getting in a couple of good training sessions to a popular old school Puerto rican diner in Chelsea called La tasa de oro and he ranted the whole time about how he could beat Floyd if he only had a second chance. I don't think folks understand the road these fighters walk and how sometimes the tumbles they take effect their world for the remainder of their existence on this earth.

Can't forget BlizzyBlizz's mother getting stretched out by Ali's "big hands". Poor guy hates me by know. It's easier for him to pretend everyone who clowns him regularly is an alt of me. I've been owning him since he was Nallege. Bumping his old quotes about never coming back to the site, listing his alts, etc, guy can't catch a break with me. I know he wishes I went away.

Jamie Moore - really nice guy

    Kell Brook - his girlfriend took our group picture;

Adam Booth - really cool guy, he took the chocolates I had too

George Groves - a lot bigger than he looks on TV.
