Banderas did the better work in the first and should have been given the first, but he lost 2-1 fair and square. It looks like he's going to be a very good pro, as he (seems to me anyways,) has the better pro style than his teammates. I will follow his pro career very closely.
On bbc? On nbc the Brits thought Giyasov easily won, and I agreed with them, great performance by him.
I think the others are bigger pro prospects (I rate Shakur Stevenson and Antonio Vargas highly), but without a doubt he's legit and I think it's in his potential to have an Abner Mares esque career.
This is what I hate about pro boxing. Other than Lomachenko, all 2012 Olympians are still fighting bums..at most, they're not even fighting top opposition. This tournament should serve as a proof that AIBA boxers can adjust quicker, with tougher opposition early on. They should be at the very top by 12 fights.
That's never gonna happen is it. 1: Are you really ready to face the best after 12 pro fights ? more like 18 onwards. 2: Unless a governing body forces a fight top contenders aren't going to risk their position on a up and coming fighter. Add to the fact there's not much money in it for them... everything to lose and nothing to gain. If there was just one title per weight then its a different story and run like UFC .
Yele threw his game plan out of the window, and straight up brawled with the Venezuelan, completely unnecessary, but o guess he wanted to show he has a warriors spirit.
