The only problems cheato would have given Floyd, was with his size, and with his bricks!

Yeah, everyone said Maidana was tailor made for Floyd, especially after the Devon schooling. Didn't look tailor made at all.

The version of Maidana that PBF fought stops Alexander. Maidana was a much better fighter than that version

Roberto Duran stops Mayweather at 135 prime for prime. Its just that simple.

Sounds plausible enough, if Floyd had not been such a fraidy-cat cherry picker I would have better insight into his mental game, and likely I would agree with you.

But that would be an alternate timeline, we only have the history that we are left with

As it stands I see Floyd shelled up on the ropes in that match up

look at the fights he ducked.

Kosta Tszyu at 135lbs beats him.
Margo would have destroyed him, he was terrified of that fight.
    Cotto (pre margs) comfortably.
Pac of 10' blasts him out.

His whole career was against old and shot fighters. He really hurt his legacy by "retiring" after the Hatton fight (which stands as his most impressive win) because he totally ducked a loaded welterweight division.

    Margs, cotto, williams, pacquiao....

ummmm Castillo walked through him and beat him...

Maidana certainly wasn't concerned with his firepower....

Margs has a granite chin and was physically bigger than both those guys. He cut off the ring and threw HARD shot non-stop. He walks right through Floyd.
