:( Such a shame. Did you hear the boos all over during the ceremony?
I feel sorry for Tischenko, too tbh. It's not his fault it was fixed.

Absolutely correct there, definitely the worst decision in Olympic Boxing since RJJ. Levit's performance particularly in the third round was outstanding.

For those who haven't watched it, check it out here (it's a British link so it may not work in your country, in that case try NBC)
...click on 23:30 bit for the start of the match. After that is the ceremony. (It 'will be available soon').

thats not the first one i have seen . they have been doing this **** all week. closest reason i can determine is they all favor the easternblock fighters.

some of these guys are grown men but some are children like roy jones was and floyd was which makes it really sickening cheating children wtf man.

I only watched the third round, but there's no way the Russian won the 3rd.

Robbing someone of their own achievement...that's just low as hell.
It's true, although they did have it in for Kazakhstan.

Guess what Levit is also an Eastern Block fighter. And Romanian Nistor was robbed against a Jordanian and that was by far the worst robbery at this Olympics so your argument is null.

Nistor definitely put a beating on the Jordanian and was robbed, but this IMO topped it because it's a Gold Medal bout and I noticed the Jordanian did at least have his moments, whereas Levit was outboxing Tischenko and outbrawling him too.

Didn't Tischenko get a ridiculously long break?

You are right but the Jordanian was given standing eight counts in two different rounds that's why I said it was the worst.

They have had a problem with Kazakhstan this time round.
There were a couple of others but the ones from yesterday and today were Levit, Alimkhanuly and Yeraliyev (although this was closer than the others but still).

That was one of the worst robberies in the amateurs I've ever seen. What makes it even worse is you could see Levit made a real concerted effort to give it that bit more to ensure that there could be no doubt and they couldn't rob him again but they still did. There's just absolutely no way anyone could score that last round in Tischenko's favour. Levit battered him and completely dominated it. He hurt him numerous times and he scored what seemingly appeared to be legitimate KD to me. And the ref may well have saved Tischenko from being on the wrong end of a stoppage loss when he intervened so that the doctor could take a look at his cut eye. I really like Levit a lot and I feel gutted for him.

Quite sure that the "it" suffix for Levit is distinctly Western Ukrainian in its origin. Alot were deported to Kazakhstan in the 30's. In any event i'm a huge fan of his and have always disliked Tishchenko's style so i can't wait to see it although its a god damn shame amateur boxing is consistently filled with horrendous corruption.
