Who do you think is going to win gold?

I'll start with 56kg Michael Conlon

I DVR'd Olympic boxing and I just saw the Levit fight. ****en utterly disgusting. You changed the rules so that **** like this wouldn't happen and they still got it wrong. Levit in my book clearly won 2-1 and a case can be made that he won 3-0. #Disgusting

I don't know heaps about the 56kg division but I'll counter that with Shakur Stevenson.

The young gun is onthe verge of somebig things in my opinion

Zoirov looked good, a lot of these steppe guys are really well schooled, every division is going to have either an Azeri, Uzbek, or Kazakh boxer it seems

Before the olympics i did a list with my favorite names to win medals.
The fighters in red are out of the games, in blue are still on the games, gray won silver, brown won bronze and yellow won gold.

    Ones to watch

Just watched the hw finals, Levit crossed himself during his walk in, I doubt he's Jewish lol

The robbery was worse than I thought, Levit was legit putting in 10-8 rounds, and the judges gave them to Tischenko, absolutely no other explanation than corruption.

Levit needs to go pro asap, maybe hook up with Abel Sanchez and call himself the Mexican Kazakh lol, get that GGG money.

Levit is a german surname. There used to be 600K ethnic germans in north/central Kazakhstan before Soviet unit collapse and he is from that region.

Not really, there are lots of russians with such surnames in south Russia (Kuban, Rostov), he is not from that region but probably his ancestors were.

It's amateur boxing. He might be better suited for the pros. Vargas has a lot to learn doe.

GGG's hometown of Karaganda is a mining town that had a high population of ethnic Germans, right?

Sorry if this was already mentioned I jumped in on the last page of the thread.
