mate that was a robbery, butdee i feel and stevenson would have beaten conlan on that side of the draw, but the judging is so corrupt you can't tell who's going to win anymore
I'm not reading anything yet, but I'm at the end of Round 2 FOR Conlan-Nikitin: Conlan had to change strategy to win. He was outpointing him in the first round. Wasnt given the round. Now has to fight a game that suits Nikitin. Annoying. The problem is Conlan doesnt have as much power as his approach to boxing is more entered around quick punches. It's down to the wire now!
Not for me, robbery is very a strong word, now Levit last night was robbed in my opinion, that looked a robbery and the crowd knew it and made it clear. Not any booing when that result was just read out, a few little groans. I urge you all to watch it back and tell me Conlan landed as much as you thought he did. I bet the second time around, maybe with sound off you will see a different fight, the BBC team were disgusting in my opinion. The Russian was landing some very good shots and they didn't even mention them.
Conlan has it all. He’s one of the most complete fighters in this whole tournament - one distinctive feature about him that led to World Champ glory in 2015. Conlon deserves the decision. But the fix might be in.
Michael Conlan is putting his middle finger up at everyone. Russia must be banned from Olympic Boxing for the fixes.
wow the decision even the Brazillian crowd booed these judgest are bad but the Russian aba must have put some serious $$$ into the judges pockets
Nikitin was definitely in there and competitive, landing some big shots, but there's no way the decision could go to Nikitin. This is as pathetic as Tishchenko's run so far. :-( When Shakur wins this bout, he's going to get jobbed by Russian corruption next.
I didn't hear boo's but I'll take your word for it. You were lucky not to watch the BBC because in my opinion the BBC had already scored the fight, the commentary was so bias.
I thought it was competitive and close, I wouldn't have blinked if they gave it to Conlan but I thought it could have gone either way. Conlan looked stylistically pleasing on the eye and in control of himself compared to the Russian who looked wild and raggedy at times but I thought Conlan wasn't very accurate and hit lots of gloves, arms and shoulder while the Russian with fewer punches thrown kept landing looping shots around the guard. It's all about landing scoring shots and I think if you look at punches landed then it would be very close. I just can't describe that as a robbery. Like I said Levit last night was robbed.
