The imbecilic magoo would vote all threads that don't have Leonard beating any and every fighter who ever lived, should be banned.:rofl:rofl

No sonny boy. You didn't school anyone, just like a typical moronic Murican you deluded yourself. Red has owned you throughout this whole thread, I merely rubbed it in.

Scores, and records ( particularly at 154 ) don't lie. Soppy little fanboys on the other hand.:lol::lol::nut

But I must confess the most hilarious part of your histrionics was when you tried to make out Duran was an ATG Welter, and Kalule was an ATG " anything " LMFAO.:rofl

More self delusion coupled with a hugely over inflated ego. I didn't even need to educate you. Red made a fine job of that all on his own. I just like to ridicule your moronic claims, and histrionic fanboyism of Leonard.

Leonard's record at 154 must really sicken you.:nut:nut:rofl.

Hmmmmm - how many title fights at light heavy for Robinson -

O-1. I believe his record was, so I'm assuming this means SRR was a bum too ..

What does Srl record at 154 have to do with anything ?? Ray fought peak mostly at 147, but several fights at 154 cane back heavier

The issue is weight , Ray could easily move up to 154 peak and slaughter Norris, the issue was "when" they fought. Period
This about the dumbest discussion ever. Any semi intelligent boxing fan etc, could tell you a fighter any fighter (you pick one) who have 5 fights since 1981 , including a 5 year gap with one fight , 1-2 yr gaps after that between fights, age 36, anyone could tell you, that fighter is not peak!!

But let rooster and others tell you Ray 1990 was the same Ray of sept 16 1981 ..

    He is delusional.

He doesn't only think he knows more about boxing than everyone else on here (except, I guess, Foxy, who is maybe the only poster on here worse than him) - he thinks the "experts" like say Editors of Ring Magazine, etc. are also know nothings. This guy lives in his own world.

I was reading an old issue of World Boxing last night, which had a preview ****ysis of Leonard/Hearns.

Mind you, this was when Leonard was in his prime and supposedly having all sorts of issues with Larry Bonds (per Rooster).

Steve Farhood picked Leonard by KO in the 13th round. Which, of course is pretty close to how it ended.

He said "Sugar Ray Leonard will win because he has shown the ability to adapt to any style and because he has a granite chin. He will be able to absorb Hearn's best right hands. He is by far the best fighter Hearns has ever fought. His hand and foot speed is much greater than anyone Hearns has fought."

Steve Farhood was editor of Ring Magazine in '91 when he and the other members of the editorial staff voted Ray Leonard the Best Fighter of the 1980's.

Steve Farhood is far from a "fanboy." He is an expert.

Those of us who read his writing and the other writers learned over time how to ****yze boxers and boxing.

We didn't just parrot what some moron journalists said, as Rooster would say.

We had the humility to learn from experts, instead of thinking we know more than everyone else.

Hence, today, we can objectively ****yze boxing

100% agree with this. When a fan can't be objective and give credit were credit is do what is he? Not a real fan. I personally can't stand Floyd jr. Or M.Tyson, but I have no problem giving them the credit they deserve. Floyd was the best fighter the last 10-15 yrs. (But he wouldve been destroyed by most truly great welters.) Tyson was a dominant heavyweight champion at his peak, and probably defeat most heavyweight champs prime vs prime. If Red and Foxy were true fans of the sport, they would be able to see Leonard was the 2nd best welter in history, and was well beyond his prime by the time he fought Norris. It's plainly obvious they can't be objective when it comes to Leonard or any fighter they may not like personally. To me, nothing they write can be trusted, everything they write can be and should be questioned.

No fanboy, what it means is unlike Leonard the real Sugar Ray had beaten all the best Welters, beaten all the best Middles so decided to test himself against the ONLY Light Heavy World Champion in Joey Maxim.

I hope to fuk you aren't supposed to be the cheer leader of the Leonard fanboys, because if they are ALL as stupid as you gawd help them.:roll::roll:

Fanboys like w,ankhard, magoo, and saad fool, were put on the earth to be ridiculed and insulted because even words that emanate from the mouths of the objects of their hero worship, are ignored because they don't sit well with the mythical supermen their ret.a.r.d.e.d minds create.

    Statements like,

even though Leonard had been mouthing off about Hagler for 4 years by that time, he didn't muster the courage to get in with him until he noticed the huge deterioration in Hagler's ability in the Mugabi fight.

Similarly after blatantly ducking Hearns at 154 in 82, and again in 84 preferring instead to fight Finch and Howard, he waited until Tommy was himself KO'd a couple of more times, put a 162 limit on Hearns weight in a 168 title fight, and got gifted a thoroughly undeserved draw.

Yet the predictable ESB re****s ignore yet more words from their little hero's own mouth.

As stated none of this reality above 147 sits well with the re****ed Leonard fanboys rather they stick to the mythical creature they have created. Luckily the object of their desire is a fighter, and not a musician, or an actress, otherwise another Murican past time ( stalking ) could well come into play.
