I suggest you all watch the full fight before making a judgement. I felt after watching it that it was a very close fight that could have gone either way.

Nikitin pressed the action, landed the harder shots, and kept a tight guard.

Conlan moved better, threw and landed more shots though they didn't have as much force or land as cleanly.

How do you feel it went?

No interest in Olympic Boxing as the judges are even worse than Germany, Dave Parris and Terry O'Connor.

The one yesterday with Vasily Levit was a joke.

Levit was a blatant robbery, no doubt about it, not even close but I'm in the minority who didn't think this was.

I honestly thought it was far closer than the commentators had it and I wouldn't have blinked if Conoan got the nod.

Conlan hit lots of gloves, arms and shoulder, yes he threw more punches but his accuracy wasn't very good.

Conlan was far more pleasing on the eye style wise compared to Nikitin who looked wild and ragged for long periods.

But Nikitin landed the heavier shots and was connecting with looping shots around the guard.

The BBC team were awful, they ignored anything Nikitin landed and hailed every shot Conlon threw regardless if it was a scoring shot or not.

When Nikitin took a step back according to the BBC commentators he was "being driven back" but when Conlan took a step back he was "boxing beautifully on the back foot".

I thought the commentary and the comments after the result from the BBC team added to the ill feeling for those who thought Conlon deserved the decision and then that feeling turned to outrage.

Personally I felt the first round could have gone either way, the Russain won round 2 and Conlon won round 3. It was a really close fight and let's remember the Russain was forcing the action all the way through. No way was this a robbery for me.

I honestly think a lot of people complaining haven't seen the fight.

As for Levit I felt he won the first two rounds and won the third 10-8. Also at one point when the stoppage looked like it was coming for Levit the action was conveniently stopped for 45 seconds to check a cut Tishchenko had.

The way the crowd showed how bad that was. The Conlon decision was just a close fight.

:good I agree, I wouldn't have blinked if they gave it to Conlon but it was never a robbery.

I think it was a very bad decision

Conlan totally outboxed him in the first making him look stupid at times, beat him up in the second and the 3rd was close I'd have probably scored the 3rd to Nikitin if pushed but first 2 Conlan by a country mile. The fact we knew the score going into the last means as that round was close might have took away the shock factor. Everyones entitled to an opinion but vast majority many of whom are respected figures in boxing suggest it was a bad one

There is no way the 1st round could of gone either way. It was the most one sided conlan round of the fight. And I don't give a **** what the stats say. They are bollix.

Thought Conlan won it comfortably at the time and having rewatched it still believe that he won the fight. To lose by unanimous decision is a joke.

Have seen that one and the one with the half a dozen standing 8 counts and still losing.

Haven't seen the Conlan fight, but after seeing those two it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he got shafted too.

Absolute robbery! Nikitin knew he didn't win.
Nikitin had a few eye catchers in the 3rd round but not enough to win it. To say Nikitin was hitting hard ?? Look at the state of his face after the fight

Id like to add that nikitins shots were a lot of body punches while conlon seemed to land to the head more. In traditional amaturr boxing body shots weren't worth a damn and they still favour head shots

I have watched it 6 times and change my mind on scoring the rounds each time.. I think Conlon boxed well but Nikitins was forcing the pace.. This was not a Robbery by a long shot.. I would of gave it to Conlon just but also could argue the other way.. Savon lost to Levit in the quarter final and he was picking Levit off for fun.. Levit was barely landing anything yet the gave it to Savon.. The Conlon fight was a lot closer than that one

If i'm honest i'd have given the nod to Conlan, but i certainly never witnessed the one sided schooling that some are suggesting it was.

Conlan looking busier, decent movement, lots of punches, but most were hitting arms and shoulders.

Nikitin more one dimensional, but landed lots of left hands.

Thought some of Conlans post fight comments were ridiculous though, and borderline slanderous.
