true but the russians control the judges and can appoint who they want to ref and judge their fight it's called the magnificent 7
IOC international olympic committee excutive board member arrested this morning for scalping tickets. This is truly the most corrupt organization it stinks from head to foot and that includes aiba amature international boxing assoication. freaking pathetic.
ticket scalping is when a guy gets a block of tickets at regular price then jacks up the price to sell to the public
it won't matter there's an elite group of about 10 judges who are always used, if they get rid of two and replace them, you can be pretty sure those guys will be corrupt as well, knew about Micheal Gallagher a long time guy is a pure criminal
That sort of thing happens at world cups, FIFA will send referees and officials home if they have bad games or make awful decisions. I personally don't think it's that big a story, AIBA need to look to be doing something but these people haven't been sacked or had their credentials taken away, AIBA are talking "educating" so basically retraining these people. Also as there are fewer bouts the need for a full complement of officials is less so they would have sent home a few anyway so they probably took this opportunity to make it look like they have taken some sort action when in reality these people would have been thanked and sent home anyway.
