The two idiots that cant handle the idea that SRL was better in his prime then he was AFTER his prime should be barred from CLASSIC and placed permanently into GENERAL where they can play stupid with the other trolls :hat

Classic should be the place where FAIR minded debates take place :thumbsup

I started it thinking it would be ugly.

It's like a car wreck. You want to drive by and look away but you just can't help watching.

    You're delusional

He and many others have given solid reasons why Leonard could win.

The thread has just become repetitive.

    You haven't stumped anyone.

all I asked was for you to point out any problems he had in his previous bout with Duran

was he stuck on the ropes taking punishment or did he smartly move and box?

the fact that you stayed off a simple question and changed the subject demonstrates your flair for repeated deception

obviously, you dare not answer the question and favor more deceptive (Spelled BS) practices

slim down to a weight he hadnt made in years?

first you brag about him fighting at a weight he doesnt belong at while winning on points (160) and now you lament that he's back down at his more common weight

    make up your mind

btw, Floyd at 34 did just fine in the ring

with that being said, why wouldnt a better comparison be something like say, Mayweather - Cotto, rather than than fabricated outlandish comparisons with Ali-Berbick which, only make you lose credibility in my sight?

    actually, they havent

I asked simply why beating a no name like Bonds who cant fight back, and has no offense of his own, would inspire confidence

ditto with Kaule and all I ever get from this guy is the runaround, inventing one lie, then inventing another to cover up his other lies

then we get Perry who repeats things like "leonard had better amateur experience", "Terry only had REGIONAL amateur experience"

and peddles this garbage like I'm going to fall for it

    Now look at MY responses, the more common sense approach;

    Norris 120

    srl 106

I just point to the score and it's settled

srl cant handle speed & movement. never could. never will which is why he fell behind and couldnt come back

like they say, cant KO what you cant touch - especially if you got a smart fighter like Terry Norris who isnt going to stand still for you and unlike Larry Bonds, CAN hit back!

only commies or very scared & upset srl fans think like that

the rest of us are more free thinkers and dont restrict ourselves

we are open to other possibilties besides what others tell us we should think

while were on the subject, I just want to know why your prime leonard (so called) looked so average against a non mobile fighter like Kalule, whose fists wereso slow, he had birds nesting in his gloves

srl tko 9 no punch, no speed Kalule

    talk about spin!

    it's more like resentment

all historians have is their Charles- Louis, Marciano-Louis comparisons which take about THIS much imagination: 0

It's lucky for you historians dont have to back up their claims

nor do you have the knowledge to do so

that's why historians are so lightly regarded in my clan

It's really not even a reasonable discussion. When 99% of the world, and all intelligent fans unbiased point out objective facts like Ray was not peak, only ignorant dummies want to ignore that fact. YOu can think whatever you want regarding who would win a fight peak vs peak. It never happened. I personally think Ray easily stops Norris that earned his nickname terrible in his fight Keith Mullings...OH wait who is he. I guess he is better than Terrible terry Norris because he beat him to a pulp and how old and active was Norris........

Were you born a re****, or have you had to work at it?

WHAT DID LEONARD EVER ACHIEVE AT 154 TO MAKE YOU THINK HE BEATS A PRIME NORRIS?

IF THIS IS TOO DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO COMPREHEND, GO AND ASK SOMEONE WHO EVEN KNOWS THEIR OWN NAME. IT WILL PROBABLY BE A GOOD PLACE FOR SOMEONE AS SIMPLE AS YOU TO START.

    Based on WHAT?

He won the title from Kalule who won it from this guy.

Kudo was an amateur wrestler during high school, and only became a professional boxer when he failed to make the Japanese Olympic wrestling team for the 1972 Munich Olympics.

In 1978, he moved down to the light middleweight division to challenge Eddie Gazo for the WBA light middleweight title. Kudo won by 15 round split-decision, becoming the second Japanese boxer to capture the light middleweight title since Koichi Wajima.

Gazo had already been beaten 4 times, and drawn twice before facing Kudo FFS.

This is the kind of garbage that Leonard fanboys are shouting about as " evidence " of his prowess at 154.

    It simply doesn't stack up.

Davey Moore having only his 11th fight stopped Kalule in 10 rounds ( never mind Leonard having his 30th ) Mike McCallum having his 17th fight forced Kalule to retire in 7 rounds. Again, never mind 30 fights.

So for the 2nd time, what the fuk makes you come out with the frankly moronic statement " prime Leonard knocks out a prime Norris "

The only people Leonard ever knocked out above 147 were Kalule and a catch weight Lalonde who in all honesty were not worth a cup of cold p!ss between them.

many good fighters/boxers look very average facing average fighters from time to time during their prime.

let me ask you a question,,,

I answered your question, do you think if SRL could of magically fought Norris while both were in their prime, do you think SRL would of done any better than he did when they really fought each other (120-106) ??? Or are you claiming it would of been the EXACT same score no matter if SRL had been prime as Norris was?
