About a week ago, Fury said on Twitter that the match would happen in October.

Then Wlad announced just a few days ago that he was taking Fury to court because Fury was trying to change the contract.

Right now the holdup appears to be Fury is trying to change the contract.

Why and how? We don't know. I heard some talk this contract was from before their first fight, meaning a lot has changed, so you might understand why Fury, as the champion this time around, might want different rules.

It's also understandable that Wlad isn't accustomed to negotiating as the challenger. He's used to having all the leverage.

Fury does like his paydays, and as the champion, he might just want more than Wlad is used to giving. However, it could be more serious. Wlad and his associates have done some underhanded things in the past. For the first fight, they tried to have Fury fight on a ring with an absurd amount of padding, and as Fury is a movement fighter, this would have slowed him down and could have cost him the fight.

There's also the drug testing issues for Fury. A lot of people believe it will result in Fury getting stripped and the fight getting canceled altogether. Personally, I don't believe this. The results are very old (before Hammer) and his B sample was apparently negative.

Fury also said on Twitter that he had "Big news" coming up, so that might be worth noting. That it could be this will be resolved soon.

However, back in February, he also said on Twitter that he had a "massive news" that we "wouldn't believe," and I think it was just business as usual. So probably shouldn't trust him.

Fury faked the injury, he's crazy to jeopardize this massive payday of his. Makes no sense but try to tell that to a lunatic.

Last I read Klitschko's Bernd Boente said the fight was looking unlikely to happen in October

Fury is repeatedly trying to change a signed contract and Klitschko is trying to enforce his legal rights

Fury is about as professional as s 15 year old kid...let us not forget that he has said more than once may not want to box anymore

I don't think the fight will happen in October ....maybe not at all ...with some slow witted morons like fury's crew involved

Do you have a source to confirm the B sample was negative? If it truly was negative then UKAD would have simply cleared him as defined in UKAD rules on doping. The fact they charged him suggests that the B sample was positive.

Changing contracts happens all the time in the real world. But since boxing isn't the real world, who knows what will happen.

This fight is not good enough to have so much out of the ring drama and setbacks.

Well it's still only August. It's getting late but there is still time to settle it. Seems to me Fury is trying to get out of it but you never know. I'm sure Wlad's contract is air tight. Let's hope this happens in October as planned.

Which is crazy considering Peter Fury said numerous times how happy they are with a rematch, how good the split was and it was going to be Tyson's career high payday; his nestegg.

Not sure whats going on in Fury's mind to let this opportunity pass.

    What we know:

Tyson did not fake an injury
Fury IS currently training for the fight
Wlad SAYS he is going to sue team Fury

Fury has "news" which could be anything...

I wonder what the reasoning is behind trying to change an slready signed rematch contract

That fury bunch apparently have little to no knowledge of what a binding contract actually means

The Klit is circumcised and has no more dap, thus, this end of the steroided Euro era.
Fury is a vast improvement but is not a long term variable in the HW landscape.

The recent photo of Vlad made him look like an 80 year old Jewish accountant. Those Roids have aged him two times as fast as normal.

Actually, this is very similar to the Mayweather / De la Hoya rematch situation. Mayweather won and didn't like the terms of the contract which dealt with the rematch payment. He tried to renegotiate because he felt he deserved more money since he won the first fight. Oscar refused to renegotiate so Mayweather "retired" until the contract with Oscar expired.
