Giardello absolutly toys with Canelo. Canelo hasnt shown me all that much.

FWIW, pretty sure Canelo is actually bigger, stronger, and more powerful than Giardello.

Yeah, you think you would make a difference, but not to Canelo he has been pretty adamant that middleweights are just too big for him.

Yeah, that was a pathetic farce of an excuse not to fight Golovkin. Still though, not saying he beats Giardello but if you put Canelo and the top 154-lbers today in the same ring as Giardello and many of his top middleweight foes, today's 154-lbers would probably be the bigger men.

There's a reason we've had so few top 5'7/5'8 middleweights in the past 30 years...

What is Canelo compared to **** Tiger, Gene Fullmer and Rubin Carter even? He doesn't compare....and Giardello beat and drew with these men. Case closed.

You think Canelo, one of the "catchweight" triplets, would have beaten Tiger, Carter and Fullmer??

I'm just trying to understand why you find it so self evident that he couldn't compete with them.

Oh, I'll concede that he could "compete" with them, for a few rounds, maybe,...before things turned out very bad for him in vs all three. You can't compare the flotsam of this day and age, i.e., the guys he's been successful with so far in his career, with any of the three that I've listed. You know how those fights would have turned out for Catchweight Canelo.

Again, how about a Giardello that was 25 years old... as is the Canelo you are judging?
