Have there been any fights where a fighter made an unthinkable comeback?

Fights where a fighter is really behind on the scorecards or is taking brutal punishment, looking like **** but somehow manages to knockout his opponent late in the fight or make an improbable comeback on the scorecards?

    Any thoughts?

Not 'really behind on the scorecard' but Froch comes to mind, behind on two scorecards going into the 12th and then KOing Taylor with just seconds left on the clock.

How about the Lewis v Vitali fight,I remember seeing that at the time and though Lennox took way too much punishment to turn things round, from being on the receiving end of a one sided beating he somehow managed to steel himself got his jab working and totally beat Vitali, can't remember any head butts I think the cuts were all from punches and whilst Vitali was still fighting on I think he'd of been stopped anyway.

I know in the Chisora/Haye fight, Haye was down in the scorecards but KOed Chisora in the 2nd half of the fight.

I followed the Berto v Ortiz fight on here actually and remember thinking how crazy that was with Ortiz dropping Berto a few times and looking in command to Berto stopping Ortiz in his tracks

    JMM vs Pac 4

JMM was losing more and more with each passing round, and Pac was going for the kill. So Pac got reckless and ran into a well-timed, steroid punch. Using steroids under Memo Heredia made a big impact on this fight.

Danny Garcia v Khan,Garcia was being lit up and totally out boxed until that one fateful punch.
Come to think of it I'm sure I've seen that before with Khan, dude never learns,he always outclasses his opponents inc Canelo and then with the weakest chin known to mankind he compounds it more by literally ruining onto the end of a punch, for someone who's game is speed he never been able to use his speed to avoid punches,he's the epitome of a one dimensional fighter?

    Dude.

Khan won the first two rounds.

    Yes. TWO.

Then he got laid out in the third and got the curtains drawn closed in the fourth.

JMM - down 3 times in the first round (and hit with a disgusting flush shot while down)

Comes back and destroys Pacman for the next 11 rounds

    That was pretty hidiculous

Yeah I get you're point, hardly contends as a dramatic turn around as it was just a few rounds.
I was listening to Mallinagi on the radio at the Khan vCanelo fight and even he said at one point he was wondering how Canelo was gonna turn things round such was Khans success,I know where you're coming from re something over a few rounds but it is a trend in that he looks so good until it's over so to speak.

1994 round of the year Jorge Castro is getting a real beat down from John David Jackson who is well ahead on points and has managed to open up a huge gash over Castro's right eye. Jackson was really pummeling Castro in the 9th round and it looked like Castro was only seconds from going down when he landed a hail Mary punch that knocked out Jackson.

In 2000 Danny Williams was well down on the cards against Mark Potter, fighting with a dislocated shoulder when he scored an unbelievable knockout.

    I feel you.

I just have a hard time calling a fight that ended in the first half of the scheduled distance an "unthinkable comeback."
