Has there ever been a fighter who has never lost both pro and amateur?

Ward's record is unreal. The man LEGITIMATELY never tasted defeat in a boxing ring. This has to be an all time record, 150-0 which consists of gold medals and world belts.

Ward has losses in the amateurs, not since he was 14/15 though so you are correct in stating that is Amazing in it self.

Where is the 150 wins coming from seems like a lot of amateur records are made up numbers.

 

I agree that's it is unreal because that record is fixed as his gold in olympics is a clear fixed result. He lost to Uzbek fighter being dropped in that fight but been gifted a win by judges.

 

Truly amazing record,whilst there may be a few favourable decisions out of 150 fights there's no way he could of expected any favours from the judges in all that time at different venues.
Carl Froch was one of my fav boxers and he gave a very honest assessment of Ward after the fight,he said normally his hands would be sore from landing punches but with Ward he just couldn't explain how he couldn't get his punches off properly,he was genuinely bemused I think.
That said I'm not sure he's at that level now unless it's just the opponents he's been fighting,against Kovalev we may see the Ward of old?

 

actually ward went out saying his first 3 fights in a row he lost then went on to never lose again.

whether he actually believes he lost those first three im not sure. first few fights are normally very close if both guys are new

 

Amateur and pro combined. Someone posted a quote from Ward where he claimed 120-0 as an amateur. Ward said his losses happened before he turned 15 so they do not count. The win total is also just his claim.

Also only fought one International tournament.Granted he won but got a fight in the semi's against some Uzbek.

The TS is just some doped up, weird Rican Russophobe who targets GGG and Kovalev. He does not even give a damn about Ward, just trying to wind up GGG and Kovalev fans.

Yes and not to mention when part time shoe salesman Boone was robbed by the judges after dropping him and having him on ***** street only to lose in a home down cooking. Just these two alone would be enough to cast doubt on all his fights, let alone the controversial decision against gate keeper shot to pieces Bika.

 

Does it matter? Not really. It shows very little. Same as Ward beating Paul Smith or Brand. Those victories dont mean much if you look at the bigger picture.
