The #10 PFP fighter in the world Carl Frampton has stated the feels U.K has 14 world champs, not all are legit

I have to agree with him, he talks a lot about Sky in this article and I feel this is the motivation behind the statement

The U.Ks best boxer is not fighting on the primary sports network in the U.K purely down to the fact he didn't need Eddie Hearn build his career and make him a world champion

And because of this he is penalised.

Thoughts?

 

Well in that case was Frampton ever a champion at super bantam?

I mean he beat a paper champion in Kiko and by his own admission Quigg was a paper champion and he obviously ducked Rigo.

 

But in his interview he said himself he didn't consider Quigg a real champion and let's be honest Kiko was the weakest champion.

And Frampton and the wee fella never had any intention of fighting Rigo.

I'm not saying he isn't any good but just going off what he himself is saying.

Frampton's win against LSC is far superior to anything Russell has on his resume

He managed to go 12 with Loma and has beaten Jhonny González who has been shot for a long time, yes he caught Mares with a gd shot in the first but hes been over the hill along time

So how can Frampton not be ranked above Russell?

The only persons that has Russell on his PFP list is Jonny Nelson and well we all know the story with that

 

I guess it doesn't sit right with me for a boxer to talk about paper champs if he hasn't unified against the best, or at least came out on top in a 1 vs 2 fight.

When Tyson Fury talks about Joshua as being a fake champ, I feel like he's earned the right. For all Frampton has achieved, it doesn't sit right with me him coming out with similar stuff.

If you consider him top feather then fine (says a lot when it can be done in one fight against someone not elite). But I would want to see him beat Rigo at super bantam, Russel jr at feather, or Lomachenko. Then he would be looking a bit more pretty up on that high horse of his.

In any case, looking past that. His comments are really about the money. He clearly feels he should be earning many times more than the rest of the British champs, and is quite bitter because he isn't.

 

Penalised how?

Frampton is in the same boat as any other non matchroom fighter.

It's nothing personal against him just matchroom inked an exclusive deal and if you are not with matchroom the chances are you won't fight on Sky TV.

 

Sounds like frampton is ****ed off that he is fighting on a small channel like boxnation and isn't getting that big money and big coverage sky give you.

Eddie Hearn said after the LSC fight if frampton was with him he would be a PPV star. Frampton knows this is the truth even if he never wants to admit it.

Carl knows the situation so dunno why he is moaning about it. Sky are very happy with the deal they have with matchroom. If you want to be on sky you either sign with matchroom or you fight on matchroom cards like George Groves does.

Barry would never swallow his pride and do a deal with Eddie Hearn though so that's never gonna happen.

To be fair Frampton isn't technically a legitimate World champ either. Credit where credit is due with the SC win but he needs to really STFU. He was about as legitimate as Quigg was before obviously beating him.

Frampton has fought hard for everything he has gotten, hes nvr been given a thing

Unlike Scott who has been gifted everything hes achieved

 

Which of the 14 would you say were legit and non-legit?
