Even the 5 fan boys on this forum? lol

Byrd would embarrass Wilder.. Probably even if he came out of retirement
His resume is shades better than Burger Kings

Oquendo , MaCline and Williamson were all the exact same as Johann Duhaupas.

Wilder would shatter them all like he done to Duhaupas.

Byrd won by robbery to at least 2/3 of those guys and only got the decision cos he was managed by Don King.

Byrd's existence at HW was down to the pathetic state the division was in at the time.

Clowns like you wouldn't give Wilder credit even if he beat Povetkin. You're a novelty act. The joke ceased being funny a long time ago.

This is too much to reply to but the fact that you said Spzilka was all around faster than Byrd lets me know that there's no point even conversing further with you :patsch :rofl

Also, As I recall the Ike v Byrd fight, I believe Byrd was ahead at the time of the knockout, so Ike's dominance that you refer to, I don't recall (until the end of the fight obviously)

Chris Byrds "footwork" is a complete myth at this point. Dude was flat-footed, countered in the pocket and off the ropes for the most part.

Beat a shot Holyfield who was in the middle of a losing streak, lucked out against Vitali and beat the most overrated one trick pony in the history of the sport, Tua, and suddendly he's the second coming of christ lol.

Reality check: Byrd went life and death with Oquendos rudimentary jab and right hand style, got a gift against a shot, post-carcrash Golota and barely handled gatekeeper McCline just because he was big.

Byrd could not handle big guys with good jabs and Wilder is at least that. Too small, depended too much on his opponent engaging for his style to work.

    Wilder UD.

Agreed. Byrd trained in a tiny ring in his youth and I mean the smallest ring you've ever seen, he learned to be elusive in the pocket, he was never a mover, he stood in front of guys made then miss and countered.

That wouldn't work against much bigger and rangier opponents who could hit him from distance and still be out of range of a Byrd counter.

Only way Wilder loses this is if he fights like and idiot and goes for the KO from start to finish. If he boxes and uses his height Byrd would struggle badly.

Yeah, it's a shame he bulked up to HW because he had real skills.

At 6'1'' with his elusive style, he could have been a huge, extremely difficult to handle LHW.

I said he moved in and out quicker - and had faster legs than Byrd . Which he did.
You said no modern HW moves better than Byrd :patsch:nut

This further proves you haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about.

Byrd may have won the first round, but only by virtue of Ike gathering his bearings .
He lost every round after that by large. He was never even in the fight. It was blatantly obvious he was on borrowed time . From round 2 he was doing nothing but surviving and he couldn't manage to do that for longer than 5 round.
That was the best ever Byrd and that was the best he had to offer.

You should run along now and cease posting on subjects you know nothing about.

Makes me laugh when people think Byrd could have beaten Lewis. Lewis was bigger, stronger, hit harder, and would have a 10 inch reach advantage.

He didn't beat Golota. That one was ruled a draw, and probably should have been a W for the Foul Pole.
