To early in Ortiz's career. We haven't seen his chin tested at all. What we have seen are stamina issues. Carnera was faster and had far better stamina. Carnera by smooth decision.
Ortiz is also far more skilled and hits much harder than Carnera, who was mainly an arm puncher/slapper. Seems more coordinated too. Carnera was outboxed by far lesser, smaller, and less dangerous men than Ortiz.
Ortiz isn't a boxer. He's a slow puncher. I disagree that Carnera was an arm puncher. He knocked out plenty of guys to prove he had power. Carnera had much better maneuverability than Ortiz does. Ortiz loses steam half way through the fight at the latest and that's being generous.
Carnera mostly punched with very little leverage, in the fights that I've seen. And he looks especially oafish when he's trying to defend himself from his opponents blows. He does that clumsy Jess Willard big man move of leaning back and trying to slap away his opponents' arms. Not sure what you mean by "maneuverability."
Don't be ridiculous. I could put up minutes of footage at a time of him arm punching and slapping/pushing his punches, punching off the wrong foot, etc.
It's honestly unsettling how some of the prominent posters on here overlook basic boxing knowledge lol
You dumby it's easy to make any boxer look bad. I can make Klitschko look like slapper. I can make Lewis look like one too. You don't even know how to use editing tools to create an honest representation of fighters. You use editing tools to find old schools boxers worst 15 seconds, and you paint it like it's their entire career. You're a joke of a researcher and old school boxing aficionado. An absolute joke!
And you're just a fanboy who doesn't understand the basics of the sport, despite the hours and hours you spend worshipping old fighters. PS - I've never considered myself to be an old school boxing aficionado...
