So Wlad doesn't clinch an enormous amount of the round? He beat Fury?

When have I ever claimed something that Wlad doesn't do?

If you can't answer how Willard used his height, reach and weight to his advantages on your own just by watching the Dempsey vs Willard fight then you should reevaluate how much you think you know about boxing.

Using his long quick jab to stay at long range, footwork to stay out of Dempsey's range, using his weight in the clinches to lean on Dempsey in an attempt to tire him out.

You're so easy to school :rofl

I'd say he did a pretty ****-poor job then. Didn't jab nearly enough to be effective; didn't have the footwork to stay out of range or turn Dempsey when he came within range; didn't look like he put much weight on Dempsey in the clinches I remember.

It worked for about the first minute then Dempsey (the faster and harder puncher) seek and destroyed. Like have been saying size doesn't determine the outcome. Dempsey was outweighed by 65 lbs and would have ko'd Willard in the first round had the time keeper been on point.

Of course size matters in the only weight category whence it comes into play ( Heavyweight )

It is beyond stupid to think that 2 average fighters, 1 of which is 4 - 5 inches shorter, and 20 lbs lighter than the other are evenly matched.

That is why by and large Heavyweight boxing is pure sh!t.

When do we ever discuss average fighters? Everyone from Carnera to Ali was elite level. I figured everyone knew this when I made the thread. I wouldn't waste my time talking about some Joe Shmo from paluckaville USA.

being not fit enough for more than a few rounds makes you (soon) completely defenceless against the guy weighting less but fully fit.

its like entering the ring and saying "hey have free hits on me all this round mate". yeh that doesnt help in a boxing match. in the sense that getting koed doesnt help.

Lol, Klitschko fights totally different than Fury too. Want to discredit him, an all time reigning champ, for it as well?

It matters more than virtually everything in boxing. We look at so many fighters as Greats because they took great advantage of their size advantages in a certain weight class. Now throw them 3-4 weight classes up and watch them sink.
