#1 CW - Evander Holyfield #2 CW - David Haye #3 CW - ? There is no way to convince me that I am wrong here. I think that a great majority (98 %) visitors of this forum agree with me that Holyfield was the best CW...At least, half of them agree that Haye was No 2.
If you are not open for debate then no point in me putting forward counter points. I find many posters look at things through rose tinted glasses and even when they cant debate, they disappear and return a week later as if the previous debate had never happened with the same old arguments
He really was a real deal. I has recently rewatched some his fights at CW and HW, and I have enjoyed. The best CW, and the second HW (behind the Lewis) considering last 20 years (HW).
Of course, I am open for debate. I consider my point as obvious one - something like : Bolt is the best sprinter now.....
Bolt being the best sprinter is proven by a world record and measurable in that we know if anyone previously (of a different era or same) ran a race in 20s and bolt ran the same length in 15s, its comparable, but boxing cant be compared like that
OK, we are off topic, but, I have a question for you. Considering last 20 years at HW division, where is Holyfield's position ? Top 5 ? Top 10 ? Top 50 ?
I think Holyfield is right up there, but (and im guilty of it at times), nostalgia plays a big part in many judgements. Holyfield appeared when the division was new and beat some decent former LHWs, and arguably not who would have been natural CWs like what appeared a few years after (career CWs for example). I am referring to before the CW limit was made higher also. Look at fighters who became decent CW champs and I think many would also beat former LHW champs, but it is a different era
Is this a joke? Here's the Ring CW rankings of 2007, Haye's "dominating year" at CW. How many names is Haye missing, let's count: 1. David Haye 2. Steve Cunningham 3. Jean-Marc Mormeck 4. O'Neil Bell 5. Krzysztof Włodarczyk 6. Enzo Maccarinelli 7. Firat Arslan 8. Marco Huck 9. Vadim Tokarev 10. Darnell Wilson 11. Johnathon Banks Haye fought exactly two fighters out of the top 10 in his entire CW career. He missed the rest. Haye is nowhere even close to the #2 all time ranking at Cruiserweight deal
Are you ****ing joking? Close to prime Lennox Lewis couldn't "crush" past it Holy, but David Haye could? It's official. The General is past the apocalypse and is now approaching hell.
I know. Plus Haye was stopped by multiple times stopped former lightheavyweight Carl Thompson. Yeah, he's the greatest cruiser ever lol.
