trinidad and odlh. when he was at middle weight? Gee I wonder why that could be, any suggestions? Why could this be? Hmmm....................................................
They both won belts at JMW and mw. But Hopkins did start and finish his career at LHW, so he was waaay bigger than them.
Nobody thought Oscar would beat him, especially after his bad showing against then unknown Euro level Sturm.
He didnt get any pass for beating smaller men: Odlh,Pavlik at 170,Trinidad. Hopkin`s real weight class is 175 but he spent most of his career beating midgets at 160 for a reason. His first pro bout was at 175 and after he lost decided to move down,i wonder why lol.Overhyped as hell.
BHop was expected to lose the Trinidad fight, and people thought the DLH fight would be competitive (and it was). Basically, GGG is regarded more highly than BHop was, hence people expect more of him. BHop was considered an overachiever; GGG is considered a real top-level talent. Tell that to "the demographic", though, and they'll spew all sorts of hatred at you.
The OP makes two glaring and amateur mistakes. One, he attempts to equate ATG Bernard Hopkins with Nobody Golovkin. The same nobody Golovkin who ducked a senior citizen ATG, Bernard Hopkins. Two, he attempts to equate the adequate Kell Brook to ATG Oscar De La Hoya, and great Tito Trinidad. Nothing worthy can come from such a fundamentally flawed equation. Scrrap thread and start anew.
