And the guys who stand more square will get lit up by the guys who stand more like a boxer. Masvidal, mcgregor, scoggins
Boxers don't stand too angled off and MMA don't stand too square. Both stances are technically wrong in both sports. People need to stop perpetuating myths.
Just accept that Boxing is specific to boxing whereas MMA is mixed martial arts....usually an MMA fighter will be stronger in one discipline whereas a boxer only trains in one discipline.
The squared up stance is a necessity to defend against low kicks and takedowns. Don't judge things you don't have a clue about
Anyone else notice how they don't even wear shoes? Anyone else notice how small their gloves are? Anyone else noticed they are able to grab and take an opponent down to the ground? Anyone else noticed they are allowed to kick someone, even in the face? ANYONE NOTICED HOW STUPID THIS THREAD IS?
Obviously a mitt doesn't offer as much protection as a glove but when I watch them get clipped I think, now if only you had that right mitt a bit higher there. Even just resting the right upper arm against the chest and protecting the chin while utilising the jab but they don't learn.
did you ever notice how terrible boxers stances are , lead leg in front like ready to get leg kicked.
