A fight with Bradley would a never happened anyway Bradley was with Top Rank and PBF was with Haymon or GBP they didn't do business with each other back then. So just stop it.
He was a really great fighter. I always enjoyed watching him especially in the lighter weights where he was a very complete fighter. Even in his old age (WW and JMW fights,) he was an elite offensive fighter just off his accuracy alone, but at the lighter weights he used to put those 5-6 punch combinations together and he'd go for the kill if he got his opposition stunned. I wish he would've stayed at JWW a bit longer, I always felt that was probably his optimal weight once he got into his late 20's. There wasn't really anyone of note to fight though outside of Hatton and a green Cotto. I also wish he got the opportunity to fight Casamayor and Freitas at LW, Williams at WW and Martinez at JMW. I'd favor him to beat all those guys mentioned. It might've helped his overall legacy a bit, but not by much. Somewhere in the top 20 sounds about right.
It would have massively enhanced his legacy as we wouldn't be able to say "He should have fought that guy". He left many stones unturned.
If he came out of retirement at 40, he'd likely beat the top WWs. And these are solid guys. That's greatness folks. I don't think his resume is taking a hit at all. Guerrero has taken several tough fights after Floyd. Shane got old. Period. We knew about Ortiz from that Maidana fight back at JWW. But, he had a few shining moments and he earned the opportunity against Floyd, as Berto was in line for it. Let's compare to someone like GGG'S resume and there is no one on it who even compares to a past prime Mosley. Ortiz could be compared to Rubio (that version anyway). This thread nitpicks at the latter part of his career and completely ignores the rest. It also nitpicks his worst opponents and ignored the other 43 fights of his career. Even in retirement haters can't stop thinking about Floyd Mayweather Jr, boxing goat.
Exactly. His haters are so thirsty for more floyd than they need to do some back-track fantasy **** to try and get one up on him. Floyd was never a loser in real life, so guys like OP need to make threads like this to stay sane
