I hope for his sake the fight doesn't last too long and he doesn't take that big of a beating otherwise he may NEVER be the same again.
don't believe the hype he will not be in there long enough to sustain a beating!! unless brook all of a sudden has a Bruno like hammer jab at middleweight which is very unlikely this will be over as soon a ggg lands a clean body punch, could even be over in a round. Golovkin pound for pound is the hardest puncher on the planet it was only a little while back people were saying he could easily knock out froch ffs so whats he going to do to kell? The fight is a mismatch however much hearn builds it up. Brook keeps talking about speed but I cant see how putting on so much muscle will make him faster, he has accurate hands at welterweight but he is not particularly quick and his cardio will surely suffer from the increased weight, golovkin is relentless and never stops coming forward so kells fitness will have to be better than ever before and with increased pressure on the heart and lungs through weight gain he could be gassed after 5 rounds if he gets that far that is!
Hes foughy 35 c+ class fighters..barring porter and now ggg...in my opinion. His career is only just beginning
They will pull him out. This is purely a money fight they won't risk his health. Soon as it's gets ugly he will be pulled straight away.
Hearn has already stated that they are looking at the Eubank fight if he loses. I agree that unless he sustains a 6 plus round beating his career really shouldn't be in jeopardy.
I think Brook will get stopped by a body shot or body shots. If you look at Brooks stance, the way he holds his hands, the position of his body when he jabs then I can't see how he stops Golovkin not hitting those ribs at some point with a short hook. I think we'll see Golovkin start by using his reach and solid jab just like he did with Lemiuex then up close hit Brooks body. So I don't see Brook taking a head shot style beating.
Spot on summation. Add in the adrenaline dump Kell could experience a puncher like Golovkin, plus the fact he was injured to the body pretty recently in sparring, and the worries about him taking a sustained beating rather than an early, Macklin style hammering seem baseless.
Wouldn't really matter he'll earn enough from this and a few others to then turn his back and count the cash.
Athletically, Brook is GGG's equal. He has alot of qualities. Technically, he is not flawless but he is very respectable. The reason we all think he'll get decimated is because we think GGG is a strong, powerful and tenacious middleweight and Brook can't live with that. However we don't really know if that is true, do we? To date Brook seems to be quite tough and durable. If Brook has legendary toughness like Robinson, Leonard and other great welters then it's a close and winnable fight. If he doesn't then it goes like we expect - decimation.
I can actually see long term benefits for Brook as his speech can only improve with a good pasting. His next career as a Sky commentator will benefit greatly when he can say Eddie instead of Eh d i
Maybe he'll surprise everyone and do really well.. I just think he'll get crushed inside the distance..
