    Over at BS.

GBP/Canelo are using the same EXACT tactics that Floyd Mayweather used to duck Manny Pacquiao for five plus years.

    For your review:

Canelo first started saying that the fight will be bigger in the future (Floyd used this line after the fight as if it was part of some master plan to begin with), referencing Pacquiao-Mayweather.

Canelo then stated that he didn't need Golovkin and that his legacy was was already established in boxing.

Canelo then stated that the Golovkin fight happens when he wants it and only when he wants it to.

Canelo pulls Golovkin into the ring (while making sure Golovkin is as far away as possible) and says he'd fight him anytime and anywhere. Then Canelo vacates the belt. This is similar to Mayweather announcing "Yes, Manny Pacquiao, you're next!" at the Victor Ortiz press conference.

Now GBP is saying that Golovkin will receive a flat fee and nothing else (eerily similar to Mayweather's most blatant duck - the 40 million flat fee).

God I hope Canelo gets ridiculed to death after this. The guy's a clown and he knows it. He ain't no Mayweather and never will. Nobody outside of casuals in the US like him anyway so that's a good sign.

Sounds fair since ggg will get a career high payday.

Canelos a PPV star while GGG is still trying to figure out a formula to get over the 100k hump

    Nothing really to complain about

Canelo is the cash cow and lineal MW champ, so I think it's a fair deal for GGG. It will be his biggest purse to date, you can bet on that!

That's what they said about the $40m Pac was supposed to get as a flat fee. It isn't lowballing, it's his highest payday to date.
Of course it is! It's also the biggest fight!
Pac's actual payday turned out to be between 4 and 5 times as much with the split option.

I'm not arsed just as long as I get to see the look on ODLH's sinister face when Canelo is flat out on the floor.

he already has the belt, and the amount offered should say if he should take it.
We don't even know what it will be... maybe only $4m or something crazy like that.

He might even take that, and punish the brat, but then Canelo makes tens of millions over his back by just getting slapped around for a couple of rounds.

GG has the paper belts but he doesn't have the lineal and true MW championship of the world. The one that traces its history to Robinson, Monzom Hagler, Hopkins. So it's either about the money or the real championship for GG. What's it going to be?

GGG should take that (unless its ridiculously low) under the condition that the fight must happen this December at 160. And for every fight that he waits, the flat fee should go up by a certain amount.

GG has no leverage to demand anything.

He's fighting on a low budget $20 PPV and its free on HBO .

GG will get the call when the A sides ready or he can continue to fight WWs on free tv

Unless it's a slap on the face, clear lowball offer, he should take it. But of course, depends on the flat fee.
