GGG needs to KO this WW, or at least beat him from pillar to post. How can the reigning MW champion who KO HWs, and is as skilled as SRR not be able to easily man handle a WW whose best win is a close MD win against Porter.
Yes, because it will show that GGG is a better boxer than Brook. People believe GGG is all power with limited skills but if he can outbox Brook who people are saying is way more technically gifted then it will add to GGG's completeness. Just like how people were shocked that GGG jabbed Lemmy to death during their fight.
Depends entirely on the nature of the UD. If Brook boxes exceptionally well and GGG is just better, it won't hurt his stock at all. It'd go up. If it's a lackluster performance by either, or there's the sense that Golovkin's just coasting, than yeah, that'll hurt.
I wouldn't be at all shocked if this went 12 rounds. Brook is a cagey fighter who can move, he's very hard to hit clean, he's lighter on his feet than GGG and has good footwork and movement. I don't think GGG will just blast him out of there in 3 or 4 rounds cos Brook's not easy to hit, he's a tricky fighter and probably a tougher test for GGG than many realise. I favour GGG, either late KO or on points, but a 115-113 win for Brook is not the unthinkable outcome so many are suggesting.
It should be. He's used to feasting on average comp. Blame his handlers because guys just right. Blame Abel.
If brook go's the distance that will be a victory for him .I don't think this will happen brook is to easy to hit .the crowd may get to him make him reckless if he.does he's toast.
I can agree, but Brook will be a rich man the day after, and I feel it could be the main reason for this match. Anyway, respect for Brook. Dude with the cojones !

If Golovkin is unable to KO a welterweight who never proved himself as the best at 147, and never competed at 154, and never competed at 160 - his critics and detractors are going to have a field day for years to come. Even if, in the unlikely event, Brook proves better than most reasonable observers are expecting, and if Brook puts forth an effort for the ages worthy of praise and admiration from boxing fans the world over - it won't matter. The narrative would become "Golovkin couldn't even stop an unproven welterweight".
