Really hope Haye doesn't take notice of the casuals saying he is ducking Briggs. It's a horrible fight and Haye needs a real step up.
Think Briggs would disagree, after all he is still licensed to fight. It isn't a bad fight for Briggs, he wants it Haye doesnt as he knows Briggs has still got a pulse.
Had David Haye acted prudently in doing the above, he wouldn't be facing the obvious indignity of having his fights against bums with padded records broadcast by Dave. #DaveOnDave It's obvious to all that Haye's intended endgame is a big money megafight with either Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua. Haye, I believe, still has something to offer in the Heavyweight division; but, if he really wants to find himself in line as the opponent for Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, or even Deontay Wilder, he really does need to greatly increase the quality of his opposition, pronto.
Yep. Haye can't win. He fights Briggs then he gets mocked for beating up a washed up, never that good anyway fighter who is clearly just looking for a final payday. He doesn't fight Briggs then the same people who would mock him for taking the fight will then accuse him of ducking the old dude. It's beyond silly. At this moment in time I'd be very surprised if Haye even had the cash to pay Briggs. I hear he's asking for silly money.
The casuals, haters and trollers will always slate haye no matter what. If I was Briggs I would want serious money for fighting haye as I know I would get ko. Live on Dave TV isn't going to get the big payday for Briggs though.
I agree, terrible fight - but Haye is an a55 for promising to fight Briggs on the proviso that Briggs fights on an undercard and beats some nobody. He should have just said he wasn't going to fight him instead of making him jump through hoops, I think he is now somewhat morally obliged to given that he has otherwise wasted Briggs' time and effort otherwise.
