other than the fact that brook showed better boxing skill and heart than i gave him credit for, this went pretty much like i called it.

 

I aggree that is was an early stoppage. But it was his corner.

 

Degale would light ggg up and he could take his shots.

I saw that as more the B plan, see if he can force a stoppage and he did. ggg at times looked desperate to get an impressive stoppage, lunging and whiffing punches but it ultimately worked. Stepping up aggressiveness isn't "figuring" out, just upping the pressure.

 

And people like you don't like it because you know he gives ggg that work.

 

It was simply a "live to fight another day" stoppage. Only a matter of time before Kell got properly stopped by GGG anyway.

Kell did not protest the stoppage.

 

Degale will end as all GGG opponents. With Ward, it's either Ward outpoints GGG or GGG knock Ward out. Ward can't hurt GGG. That's it.

Brook was trapped on the ropes and in the corner in the fifth, had his hands down, and was getting battered by a fusilade of heavy shots by GGG while throwing a negligible amount of punches back at GGG. Even though many people felt short-changed by the manner of the ending, it was a compassionate call by Dominic Ingle to stop the fight, and save Brook from further -- maybe even long-term -- damage.

 

Who said anything was wrong with that? I mentioned his grading because it confirms their mindset, when it's absolutely not necessary with HBO's backing. ggg could take a **** in the middle of the ring and HBO and their fans would support it. Besides, ggg gave himself a low grade because he wants his fans to believe he had a subpar outing, when he was who he was. He's not perfect, and he has flaws that can be exploited. They apparently believe he has to be superhuman to get money, it's ridiculous.

 

Ward probably wins.
It's just kind of irrelevant right.
Such a fight would have to be at least two years away.
GGG would first have to move up and beat some top super middleweights.

 

Rnd 2 he wasn't aggressive. He was actually trying to jab and box where he got out boxed. After rnd 2 he he just when full on aggression for the stoppage.
