Brook's corner did a very wise thing when they stopped the fight because Brook's eye socket was broken by a left hook from Golovkin......................hope Brook's career has not ended................doubt if he will ever be the same...........

How on earth could the judges have had kell winning at the time of the stoppage, good stoppage by the corner

Thought the same when Burns got the draw v Beltran mate even though I was delighted with the verdict at the time as somehow he heard the final bell with a broken jaw.

Thought I heard Kell say once that Eh Day joined the German Boxing Promoters Society so that may explain why it is nearly impossible for impartial scoring.

By CompuBoX stats GGG won every round. Plus personally the fight basically ended in the first round when GGG caught Brook, since that moment GGG was playing with Brook and entertaining the public as per his Big Drama Show. By fifth round he decided that's it and lucky for Brook his corner stopped the fight before he was sent to canvas.

Spent a few more years watching boxing, then watch the tape again. Brook was getting murdered in there.

Kell got some good combos off, especialy when he brought the backhand uppercut in but apart from been accurate they didnt have the power needed to get GGGs respect.
Depending how bad the eyesocket has been broken and where the break is situated on the socket it could put a question mark over kells future.
I broke mine in my teens and it took years to heal correctly. The slightest touch in that area brought tears to my eyes for years. if its broken bad at the wrong point we may never see the same kell brook again.

Kell managed to land on GGG accurately and often, but the power wasn't there to actually win GGG's respect so it was only a matter of time. Good effort from Brook, another good win for GGG.

I was watching like wtf why not throw it in. Refs back was to him so if he aimed for the ref it'd probably hit him or GGG would have seen and stopped... Wierd.

Lucky for him Dom Ingle has sense. If Lockett was his head trainer he would have probably been pummeled to death. SERIOUSLY.

If you look when dom gets in the ring and looks at kell he points to the eye straight away. He knew any further damage could possibly end a career. Had he not got the injury i dont think he'd of pulled him.

Think a lot people who are saying GGG is easy to hit need to expand further. Many of his stoppages are a result of him throwing feints or slipping shots coming at him and returning well place punches.

Kell Brook is a world class fighter who had the accuracy, speed and movement to catch Golovkin.

Golovkin is easy to hit compared to a Cuban, Mayweather, Lomachenko or a Sugar Ray.

Easy to hit in my eyes are would be a Ben Tackie or a Marco Huck. Who are just strong and used to grind boxers down.

Just watched the fight again and tbh Brook probably wins the first round even more comprehensively than he won the second round.

It's just so frustrating that he suffered that incredibly unlucky injury. If Golovkin had benefited from outrageous fortune then he would've been battered senseless. Even a blinded Brook was causing him problems.

A rematch would see only one winner tbh.
