Froch is the blue print for the type of fighter to beat GGG: Warrior, iron chin, bigger, stronger, decent power and huge desire. It would've been a war. But a 50/50 for me...

Agreed, it would have been a fight to remember. I think Froch wins on points because I'm not sold on GGG at 168 yet. If he does move up and dominate the division then maybe I'll change my mind.

I think Golovkin works him over and stops him late or UD.

There's a reason Froch didn't fancy the job and during Froch's prime he struggled with fighters who are not on Golovkin's level imo.

One things for sure it'd be a fight of the year type fight.

Yeah, I do feel GGG hasn't got much wriggle-room when it comes to weight. We saw last night, when someone overcomes the fear-factor of his power, his boxing is not that special. But Kel was just too small. At 168, where surely GGG would meet fighters who could take his shots for longer, we might see his obvious defensive flaws exposed. When attacked, he was ragged last night. However, there isn't a Froch-like fighter at 168 at the moment and he waited for Ward to move up before even contemplating super-middle. To me, the Brook fight showed why GGG was reluctant to face Ward. Andre is WAY stronger than his power suggests, he could have pushed GGG back and it's now clear, if someone can take the fight to him he's half the fighter.

    Golovkin wins a decision.

To beat Golovkin you need more speed and skill to go with that size, strength and toughness.

I don't think anybody with the defensive limitations of Carl Froch could hope to beat Golovkin. He turned down the chance to match his Wembley payday for a good reason.

GGG by KO - that beak is easy to hit and even Groves had him on his arris.

I think GGG brutalises Froch and stops him late, let's not forget Brook was boxing slick to evade Golovkin's power shots. Froch was about as cute as a Bulldog chewing a wasp. He doesn't have the chin to take hard shots off GGG for 12 hard rounds IMO.....

    Let me get this right,

Your saying Golovkin never landed any big shots on Brook, and that Froch doesn't have a chin ?

Let me educate you a little,

Brook ate plenty of massive punches to the chin and the body ( notably the left to the liver in the 1st ) and Brook was still standing when the towel came in, even though he'd taken about 30 unanswered punches just before the towel came in. Did i mention that Brooks a Welter weight ?

Froch is bigger than Golovkin, his chin is proven granite, and Golovkin is easy to hit.

Too many casuals getting carried away with Golovkins power, when was the last time Golovkin actually put anyones lights out ?

Where did I say he didn't land any power shots?

Brook slipped a lot of shots and rolled with them, slipping shots is swearing to Froch. He would walk in feet side-by-side and boom, his nose would fly into the crowd of 80,000 people....

His chin didn't look pure granite when he was dropped by Taylor and Groves did it, Golovkin hits like a train compared to these two.

It would be a war, they're both easy to hit but Froch's size, power and chin would see him through.
