They hatched a plan pre-fight, as soon as the pressure is applied STOP THE FIGHT. it was diabolical, cheating the fans with a premature pre-planned stoppage. PPV customers should be refunded, it was a farce. The fans in attendence booed long and loud. A factured eye-socket, they pleaded.

I don't know about preplanned, but the fans were cheated. I hear a lot about 'oooh, but his eye, long term health, yadda yadda yadda'. Problem with this being that in boxing the top guys get paid millions on the understanding their long term health is at risk.

Any joe public could pull out of a fight at the first sign of getting hurt. For the money Kell got on Saturday I'd take a punch off GGG and if I was still standing quit on the basis I was concerned about my health. Anyone could do that. The fact he's getting millions and is considered elite means he is expected to fight to a finish, whether by TKO, points or the doctor. It was a disgrace.

The money is irrelevant. What are you saying, someone who gets paid 100k can get pulled out but someone getting millions cannot?

There is a duty of care which every trainer is bound to. If they believe there fighter is at risk of serious injury then he has to pull them out.

I agree to a certain extent, let's be honest though the whole card was in fact terrible, it is becoming a a pattern of stick names on the card to get more interest but the match ups are awful.

Didn't seem like Brook wanted to quit but it did look like he was about to get battered.

It's very easy to say when you are not the one with the broken eye socket getting punched in the face.

Tony Tucker tried to carry on with the same injury - the fight was stopped anyway and Tucker lost his license due to losing the sight in that eye.
It's reported that the Board are discussing Eubank's cowardly comments at a meeting tomorrow.

The right decision was made by the corner maybe slightly late imo, the wrong decision was allowing him to get in there originally, 9/10 people said he would get stopped and potentially hurt by 8, it happened

Im sorry to say that was my first thought as well.I was in Belushi's London Bridge and I and a few others were rather upset that fight was stopped. The booing from the crowd told its own story as well. It felt too pre-planned. This is the hurt business, not a tickling contest.

Easy for me to say from my keyboard but it left bad taste in my mouth

I initially thought it was premature, but watching it back it kind of reminded me of the Haye v Thompson fight. David was done and was trying to tough it out before Booth pulled him out, much like what Kell was doing. Arms out, trying to macho it out, "is that all you got" type attitude when he was visible hurt and gassed. He had nothing left and he was getting slopping. He threw a right just before the stoppage and nothing was in it. No power and no accuracy. Great stoppage in my opinion

Would you and your drinking buddies have preferred it to continue until the eye was hanging out of the fractured socket?

it wasn't just a little pressure here. at the time of the stoppage Brook was beaten from pilar to post and everyone was waiting for the moment where he hit the canvas or took a knee.
the "but he was in front" crowd, should also realize that after that fifth round, with all reasonably possible outcomes, that would be gone as well, while obviously being the one that had taken the most damage at that point.
It was a bit early, but not really that bad a stoppage.

Brook was done starting to ship loads of hard shots, fractured eye socket and despite putting up a game show it was only a matter of time before he was going to be ko'd.

GGG was teeing off on him and the crowd booing I really doubt have a clue about boxing.

Ingle was always going to pull him out the minute he started getting hurt.If it had gone on any longer would of been a mirror image of Canelo v Khan the naturally bigger man starching the the over matched but game opponent.

It's always cringeworthy when corners just stand there letting their fighter take punishment, it was the right call to pull him, of course it was...

Ppl that say otherwise should take a long hard look at themselves and reflect some.

The fans were cheated when that farce of a fight was signed.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. If you want to get millions for being punched in the face then accept you might be damaged long term. Like I say, anyone could pull out, but anyone doesn't get £5m.

I get what people are saying, but I just think it's wrong. You want to be able to pull out? Go back to fighting chumps on small hall shows for tuppence ha'penny, you van do whatever you like then.
