Plus Haymon is broke, he has no money to throw around especially on someone **** like Jacobs.

Which belt is there to win against Jacobs for Golovkin? The "regular" means that he's just GGG's #1 contender, and there's no belt to be won for him at all because he's already the WBA champ. Only belt left is around BJ's waist.

 

The only belt remained for GGG to add to his collection is WBO(BJS), Jacobs is a worthy opponent just because he TKO'ed Quillin in 1st round and he's from NY. This fight would sell out MSG.

 

Haymon cannot beat K2 on the purse bids for this fight, since the money required for that action would by far exceed Haymon/PBC budget for that fight.

If they want Jacobs to make $1mil, they would have to make a $4mil bid and give $3mil to Golovkin. If they want to give Jacobs $2mil, Golovkin would have to receive $6million etc.

Haymon bid $5million for Wilder/Povetkin where Wilder was to receive 70% and Povetkin 30%. With Danny Jacobs only getting 25%, it is not possible for Haymon/PBC to bid $5million for GGG/Jacobs.

Most possible scenarios for this fight are:

1) K2/Haymon agree terms > Jacobs fights GGG on HBO, on a K2 promoted card
2) K2/Haymon disagree > Jacobs gives up his mandatory position
3) K2/Haymon go to bids > K2 wins > Jacobs either fights GGG on HBO or vacates belt/mandatory position

 

Haymon is not gonna throw bunch of money behind Jacobs, a dude who doesn't draw and is gonna get KTFO by Golovkin.
Basically I expect this fight to be on HBO without purse bid or Jacobs vacating.
