Are they using different technique to most other pro boxers or is it 100% genetics that gives them the power?

Julians punches LOOK different which leads me to believe that he uses subtly different technique

GGG doesn't have the kind of power Jackson has. Jacobs and Quillin arguably have similar power. GGG just places his power more accurately and more often.

Jackson is a true freak of nature when it comes to punching power. The part that makes Jackson's power even more devastating is his good handspeed. He's faster than Golovkin and can generate more power in a stationary position. Golovkin uses technique to maximize his power, like good balance, throwing punches from unexpected angles and applying intense physical and mental pressure.

Golovkin breaks guys down mentally and physically over a period of time. Jackson just breaks guys physically when he lands. Golovkin is probably a better body puncher than Jackson, but Jackson wins in everything else.

I would say Kovalev and Stevenson are closer to Jackson than Golovkin is in terms of punching power.

Julian Jackson's handspeed was underrated .

Which is understandable , that frightening god-like power would overshadow any attribute a fighter possesses .

Jackson would have demolish any 154 - 160 pounder of the past 10 years .

That's goes for Golovkin , Mayweather , Winky Wright , Kelly Pavlik .

They all lose to the Hawk .

For GGG his technique is quite simple. Fight overmatched bums and WWs..

    Very effective technique.

The Hawk is a favorite of mine, he had massive power and great speed- freak of nature gifted power puncher!

GGG have also massive power but not as much speed, got natural power but most of his power comes from his great balance, that's why he can throw power punches in all positions, his balance is the main reason he never really get hurt from his opponents punches.

    The Hawk=freak of nature
    GGG=hard work, technic and balance

Maaan! The Hawk was a devastating puncher, I remember the Terry Norris fight. One punch and Norris was out cold on his feet. GGG has tremendous power but relies on technique, combos and damage accumulation. Jackson just brute force trauma power bombs.

I'm a big fan of the Hawk, too. While I think his chin might be his undoing against Golovkin, I wouldn't favor the other guys vs him and I certainly wouldn't rule him out vs GGG. Not all "puncher's chances" are created equal.

I dare to say that Golovkin is not your first choice.

punching power is 80% natural ability and 20% technique.

as to ggg and jackson / jackson is the harder puncher if the 2 met in a h2h IMO ggg wins / he is a more rounded fighter and has the better chin.

Those are very specific percentages. How did you come up with them? Or did they, dare I say, come straight from your a$$?

Include Herol Graham to that, he was schooling Jackson up to that point...devastating is the only word...makes Tyson, GGG look ordinary.
Maybe like for like you could say Earnie Shavers had the same power in his division...maybe?

Jackson had great power but was average in all other areas.his power got him out of jail GGG is a more complete fighter slightly less power but much better all round .Jackson was not good enough to control a division long term dangerous but Vulnerable.
