Hearns, Duran, many Leonard fought hagler, and had fights at middleweight and higher. I do t think they feared bigger guys

I think Golovkin would make easy work of Floyd at 160.

Unless they fight at 154 which Golovkin has obviously offered but after last week's weigh in would he be able to make it safely? Who knows as Floyd doesn't dare to be a legend.

The version of PBF that beat Canelo would beat GGG at 154 rather easily too much speed and GGG is too slow and too easy to hit for him. This inactive 40 year old version of PBF probably couldn't though.

GGG could've moved up to 168 but he doesn't want it. At least PBF fought at 5 different weights dummy. GGG can't even do 2.

Triple G knocks Floyd out. But as dan Rafael observed earth will be blow up by a meteorite before Mayweather ever dared step foot in the ring with that man

Your mistake is thinking GGG and Maidana fight a like. Not only that Maidana is awkward he throws a great looping overhand right which is a great punch to throw against the shoulder roll because it can get over it and land on his temple. GGG doesn't throw that punch. Maidana is also a dirty physical bully mauler who's unpredictable which PBF doesn't like because it doesn't really allow him to get into a rhythm. GGG doesn't fight like that. GGG is basically a boxer puncher, PBF's whole defense is set up to beat that conventional style of boxing. He can anticipate punches from that style in his sleep and it's easy for him to counter it.:deal: PBF would fight GGG on the outside using his superior length speed and reflexes to get off first move and not take much in return. GGG would have try trying to come at PBF and he would miss and get countered for his efforts. He's too slow for PBF and GGG struggles with speed and can be outboxed his style is tailormade for PBF to defeat. In fact if they were the same size PBF wouldn't lose a round to him, the difference in skills is that vast.

I've mentioned Golovkin's "Cranial Compacter" as THE punch against Floyd's shoulderroll. Coming from above and with Floyd's small size even more.
They don't fight anyway near the same, but it's the constant pressure, and in Golovkin's case with a lot more power as Maidana could generate.
It's also easier to get away from Maidana as it is to get away from Golovkin. Golovkin also doesn't matter as Floyd couters him, because there just isn't enough force in there to bother him much.

I can't see how Floyd can be favored in that obviously never going to happen match.

At 154 PBF would've been the favorite at 160 GGG would be. I just think GGG is too slow has leaky defense and his boxer puncher style is a great match up for PBF. GGG has power but power can be neutralized and if anyone can do that it would be PBF. I think GGG would shocked at the skill level of someone like PBF because he's not fought elite level guys it's hard when you step into the ring with that much skill for the first time.

Hearns was easily knocked out by Barkley. Leonard wanted nothing to do with a prime Hagler. Duran had to walk through a ridiculous amount of punishment to beat Barkley.
All 3 of them were fearful of Nunn and McCallum. Duran gave up his belt.

And all the cruiser weight knock Triple G out. Why does only Floyd have to move up multiple divisions?

Why doesn't 3G dare go up just two and fight Sergy Kovalev?

I agree but his fans say he doesn't need to but expect everyone else to.

Assuming that GGG isn't completely dead at the weight he would still be able to cut the ring off against Floyd. And if Floyd tried leaning against the ropes to slip and counter as he has many times against other pressure fighters, GGG likely gets him out of there.

GGG doesn't brand himself as TBE. When you wear that sort of self given distinction, there's a certain expectation of transcendent greatness.
