    Good read.

    On a side note the Sandinistas killed Alex and Roman is in bed with them and so is bum ass Mayorga .
    Alexis is a man that dared to be great by moving up to 140 and getting beat by Pryor. To Alexis defense Pryor may have been given something by Panama Lewis and Aaron did not know it.​

    Sucks Arguello got killed over his politics but I didn't want to end such a great article with another downer after theGatti vs Ward breakdown.

    Thanks a lot man, I'm currently in the process of starting a blog and one of my regulars over at Imgur fronted me the 100 dollars I need to get it started, but my bank and paypal are making it a huge pain in the ass. Never had a credit card or cell phone so it's basically impossible to make the site with out a ton of leg work on my part. Hopefully it is worth the effort.

    Nice work ..really enjoyed this. Dont like the term Check hook but other than that really enjoyed it. Alexis was /is one of my absolute favorite fighters and when I think of early 80's boxings which is the last truly great era for me. Alexis is one of the first names I think of.

    Great piece, but reading other stuff its quite clear he wasn't corrupt enough for politics, I cant see it as suicide, its murder isn't it ! Again, good work Escudo !

    Arguello wouldn't have been great if he didn't have massive height and reach advantages. The only time he was ever on an even playing field was against Escalera.

    I deeply regret not walking up to Arguello when I saw him at IBHOF. I was helping Lou Diva off one of those golf carts, figured I'd see him later on. I didn't.

    I think he was fighting in the wrong weight class. He should have been about 30 pounds north of where he fought. A couple of guys have done that over the years. Hearns, Spinks, Saddler, Foster.
