The Welsh have some world level, fringe level fighters like Liam Williams, Nathan Cleverly, Lee Selby. The English obviously have more then there fare share. But do the Scottish have anyone considered top level, or even european level. I know burns is still hanging about and i suppose hes up there but who else.
Taylor is good but I expect Dave Ryan to give him all sorts of problems. Ryan is underrated and I believe Taylor is slightly overrated on here.
We'll see. If Taylor is all that I think he is he should not only beat Ryan but beat him handily. As I said, it's early days, but I really fancy Taylor to go on to great things. He fights with a ring intelligence well beyond his limited professional experience. Maybe I'm getting a bit carried away, but we Scots boxing fans really need something to be optimistic about.
Loads of people are going to be impressed by Stephen Simmons in his fight in two weeks, I'd say the way he's performing in the gym he's above euro level, seriously the improvement in him lately has been a joy to watch Jason Easton is a fine prospect who's fighting for the Celtic title next month, Stephen Tiffany is very good, Lewis Benson also, Charlie Flynn, Joe ham, Sam ball all sold chances to do well
I saw Sam Ball in the amateurs beat Jason Easton over 2 years back, I really liked him. Never seen him in the pros but hope he does well.
