Agreed. Usyk jabbed his way to victory. Glowacki tried to counterpunch and missed most of the time. If he was more aggressive, the fight would be much more fun.
Usyk had the faster hands and used his jab. Johnny Nelson is saying that Usyk needs better sparring if he's going to be a start in America...
This is Usyk's first big step up in the pros, I think every fight from here on out will be more and more impressive, kind of like Loma after Salido.
I think that was the inexperience shining through- he'd saved up too much energy. Great news for the 10-12 rounds, but that's playing with fire in the other guy's back yard. A more active opponent could've stolen enough of those rounds to cause some concern. I'd rather have seen him open up earlier and finish with a little less in the tank. Usyk looked like he could've easily went 15 or more- that's great and all, but I prefer to see the road guy empty his barrels more than that.
