He was in with another southpaw, who dropped Cunningham 4 times and KO'd Huck, which is damn near impossible, it was his first big step up, I don't blame him for playing it safe. He hurt Glowacki a few times late, but he hid it well but I think Oleksandr could have gotten him out of there if he wanted to. But overall excellent measured performance. And after all, he was attempting to make history here, no need to risk ****ing that up.:deal:

Ya certainly didn't deliver in the action department until the last 1/3 of the fight.

Glowacki was super tentative just laying back waiting to counter and not initiating anything and Usyk was apprehensive to let his hands go or take much risk content to just win rounds largely with the jab. I was begging him to let his hands go more from about the 4th onwards.

Ya big step up with alot of pressure not to fail but we finally saw what he's capable of once he started letting his hands go in the Championship rounds. He'll improve in leaps and bounds after this and have a tremendous amount of confidence going into his first title defense.

This is the type of boxing lesson that we try to tell you Floyd dishes out. You **** on it, and then say Usyk was magic out there. What gives? Skills pay the bills. This is what boxers do to punchers.

Big props to Usyk, winning the belt in the champions backyard, I feel Głowacki could have done a bit more, but Usyk outboxed him very well and fully deserved the win

A New reign has begun folks

Lots of micromanaging for a guy who's champion opponent you had to try and give three rounds to in his backyard nonetheless.

Please, what makes Usyk any different from any other fighter. Nobody cares about those issues so I certainly won't. Impress or get forgotten that's the boxing landscape.

Usyk: "I wanted to dish it out after the 4th round but my coaches said no."

I had it 10-2 rounds. I gave Glowacki the 2nd and 5th rounds.

    Yeah, it wasn't close.

Damn I just woke up, I tried waking up early for the fight but I was too hungover. Is the fight worth re-watching?

There were not a lot of "moments" in the fight. Mostly just Usyk winning with better movement and speed.

If you watch it, maybe rounds 10-12 would give you a snapshot. Both guys dug in a bit more there.
