Ward is no liar, if Golovkin turned him down he did it for certain.
No shame in not fighting a guy that will surely expose you, but the lies are unbelieveable from Team GGG.

This is kind of old news tbh, we all know Ward's side is teh only one who ever sent an offer, and GGG's side had no intentions of negotiating or making the fight happen when he was active.

Ward wins, but GGG can really mess him up to the body

Old news. They sent an email offer of 50-50 split right after GGG signed another fight. No venue, date, network, etc. Basically not a serious offer or one that could even be accepted if it was.

I don't think anyone was doubting Wards word in particular - it's been accepted, I think that the offer was sent. The offer was, as far as anyone's been able to tell, 50 / 50 at 168 with 1 interim fight each (which would have been Lemieux for Golovkin).

Ward has moved on to bigger and better things. I would never call it a duck, but Golovkin should have taken that fight. Just my opinion.

People say he sent an offer 20 minutes after Golovkin signed for Lemieux... think about how stupid that sounds to say he did on purpose. Also, the kovalev fight was signed without a date and venue.

How does Ward deserve 50% against Golovkin.

If Dominic Wade wanted 50-50 he would've been turned down too, and he has about as many fans as Ward

"People say"...think about how stupid that sounds.

    Here's the situation:
You have the Lemiuex unification fight signed and the winner of Alvarez vs. Cotto waiting to give you the third belt and a huge PPV event.

    Your options:
    A. Get your belts, get your money, and ignore this inactive joker.
    B. Take the offer, move up in weight, make less money, and potentially lose to a larger, higher-ranked p4p fighter with no belt on the line. And pass up on the opportunity to unify 3 belts and make your name on PPV.

Factors that may influence your decision:
    A. Money, belts, fame, and logic.
    B. The opinion of people who frequent Fighthype.

    Clear choice.

It's entirely possible that Ward or ROC did send than email without knowledge of the Lemieux fight. I'd say it was remiss of ROC, but yeah, it coulda happened like that. What Ward's team can't have been ignorant of is that Golovkin was mandatory to the WBC strap and whoever he fought for the 'interim' fight offered under the contact emailed by ROC, he would have had to make a choice between pursuing the Cotto / Canelo winner or Ward next. Just playing devil's advocate for a second, if you were a promoter, who would you choose for Golovkin? But it's cool. I've seen the invective sent by some Golovkin fans in the direction of other fighters. That's usually BS too but I could see how it'd annoy people.
