Alvarez' power is proven against top notch opposition. Golovkin's power is proven against bums and overly matched hopeless opponents.

Canelo isn't a puncher at 154 unless he is fighting a Glass Jawed opponent like Khan or Kirkland. He sure is hell isnt going to have power at 160. That is the problem he is faced with and he knows it. GGG is going to savagely KO the coddled and protected Canelo.

He sure as hell won't have power at 160? Why not?

Why wouldn't he carry more power up with him with the additional weight? He'll be even bigger, even thicker, stronger, won't have to struggle to make weight. As it stands, he's a 154-lb TANK, at 160 he'll be a TANK DESTROYER!

While I agree that Golovkin will beat the yellow out of Alvarez, it is clear that Canelo has some power. He's no monster puncher but can hit with some authority. But these guys spinning a win over Smith in 9 rounds as Canelo > GGG is laughable. Brook > Smith and Golovkin crushed him in 5.

He's TANK DESTROYER at LMW because he's bigger than they are, he'll just be a normal sized guy at MW. Because most them would be TANK DESTROYER'S at LMW too.

He isn't a power puncher at 154 unless his opponent has a Glass Jaw. He is going to basically be feather fisted at 160 and he knows this. He will be a sitting target for GGG with nothing to keep GGG honest. If Canelo really believed what you just typed he would have already fought GGG at 160 instead of trying to drain him to 155. Why fight at 155 if you are going to be a savage beast at 160? Canelo was only willing to fight at 155. Anyone that knows anything about Boxing knows what Canelo is trying to do.

His best KO's at 154 have all been against Glass Jawed opponents. That isn't having power. At 160 he is going to have nothing.

Canelo didn't need to fight anyone at 155. Cotto and Khan needed Canelo to be 155. Facts are a funny thing. Canelo certainly didn't attempt to get GG to agree to 155, you're just making that up.

LOL he created his own weight class at 155 and would not fight anyone at 160. It isn't up for debate at this point. Why drop the belt if he was willing to fight higher than 155? Canelo absolutely tried to get GGG to fight at 155. Then he dropped the belt like a coward.

He only challenged for the belt at MW because the public demanded he fight Cotto, who was the MW champ. Cotto as champ demanded the fight be at a 155 catchweight. Cotto then didn't pay the sanctioning fees, essentially dropping the belt to Canelo before the fight happened. Canelo won the fight, then defended the title vs Khan, who wouldn't fight Canelo at 160, only 155.

What proof is there that Canelo tried to get GG to fight at 155?

Prior to fighting Khan, the fight on Canelo's radar was Smith, not Golovkin. He couldn't acquire the 154-lb title while holding the MW belt. So he defended it vs Khan then dropped the belt and challenged for Smith's 154-lb title.

Proof? He dropped the damn belt because he was painted into a corner and GGG was his mandatory so the BS 155 pound weight crap wouldn't fly. It was fight at 160 or drop the belt. He dropped the belt. Are you really this stupid?
