He got around 6million to fight brook... the apparent offer of $12m in pounds 9 million. Its not that great an offer... unless ppv is on top...

How could they just bid low? A purse bid means anybody can get the fight, aomebody would of put big money up for that fight then both promoters lose control, they would not want that

On GGGs behalf, K2 asked for 17% of gate/PPV etc with a guarantee of 8 mil.
17% comes to about an est 12 mil based off 700K views on PPV.

GBPs most recent offer is for Sept 2017 at a flat 10 mil.

Most experts are estimating that GGG made almost $9 mil vs Brook and could get near the same vs BJS.

I expect K2 is going to let Yellers #s continue to deflate while GGGs #s continue to climb soas they can get the 17%+ or a better offer from GBP.

It was an option instead of just vacating, that's all I'm saying.

Canelo could have vacated after purse bids if it didn't go his way, I think they should have exhausted every option.

It would have looked better in my opinion if he vacated after the purse bid.

I can understand why GGG wants to get paid well. He's 35 years old. This is by far the biggest fight he'll get in his career based on monetary incentive. I imagine that after this fight, assuming it occurs and hopefully in a few months, GGG will probably contemplate his retirement.

Canelo is not the one who is going to beat Golovkin.

The Tyson comparison is weak. Tyson took his eye off the ball with Douglas and came ill prepared. This GGG-Canelo fight promises to be a mega fight, neither will come ill prepared and if the form books are correct (as they usually are...) Golovkin will seriously hurt Canelo.

GGG should take 12 MIL , beat up Canelo and become the biggest star in boxing. I think he'll take it. If he was down with the fight when he was mandatory and pocketing 25% he will accept the fight next september. But no phony 155 lbs. Even for Canelo is gonna be better at 160.

This fight will not be easy to be made but its all cuz of Golden Boy. If u, a fan of boxing, who wants to see this fight, dont realiaze this than u either lack in logic sense or ur a hater.

Golden Boy wants to capitalize on the Mexican fanbase. GGG will never have a big fanbase as Canelo. He s a russian fighting in America. Cool guy, entertaining , but still it is what it is. When he'll become a PPV attraction selling at least 500K in US , then he'll be able to negociate with Canelo on a more even playing field. It s not fair but this is the bizz side of boxing.

Should be a 67-33 split of all revenue up to 450k buys, then 50-50 split of anything above that. Alvarez draws about 300k buys on his own and GGG draws about 150k. Together they should easily crack 1mil. None of this flat fee nonsense.

155 and a flat fee for GGG. Canelo gets all of the PPV revenue.

I expect nothing less from triple duck ggg. Now folks want to know the details that they would not ask for other fighters and we know why. Total piece of **** hypocrites. I have been saying ggg plays the political boxing game like anybody else, he's no good boy despite the fake smile.
