This fight at most does around 1 million in PPV buys it's not as big as people think it is.

 

Somewhere between the Cotto and Khan #'s, people overstate how big a fight this is or think everybody is Floyd and Manny.

I personally think it will do double what Ward v Kovalev does.

 

If it does a million PPV buys that is 60 million right there. Gate will probably be between 15 and 20 mil. It could be a 100mil fight but not anymore than that.

 

I think it could do 1 million buys in America with the right promotion. It would be PPV over here in the UK and do pretty well too. I'm not sure what that translates to for the purses though.

depends, ggg needs a big name fight before he fights canelo, he also needs to step up the trash talk to hype up a sept 2017 showdown. i just don't think ggg is pulling his own weight when it comes to selling the fight, he is not very well known outside of casual boxing fans.

Actually in Europe and Russia he is pretty well known now. So he has become a world brand actually with promotions from Jordan, Apple, Samsung. The big brands like him because he is very marketable to the general public. I think once day he will make more on promos than on boxing if he continues like this.

 

his ppv sales were awful and i think they get the ggg fights for free in russia and the former ussr.
