What was mentioned about Gene Tunney and his feeling about boxing really destroy all that **** people say about old school fighters being guts and glory.

Bruce Lee is more than an actor, I'll tell that right now. People like to say all those moves he did in movies he couldn't do it real life... bull****.

Bruce Lee was a real fighter. Most of the guys who say **** like that are these new age MMA maggots who get their jaws broke trying to wrestle a guy in a street fight.

Sorry Pep is generally excepted as number 1 defensively and I concur. Then you can have Whitaker and Locche as number 2 or 3. There may be a case for Floyd at 4 but thats about it.

You are entitled to your own opinion as that is what ATG lists generally are though and I agree to disagree. Thanks for posting the video though.

I have him Number 3 behind Locche and Whitaker as the best defensive boxers of all time and around 25-30 on my ATG list

This. Skillwise Mayweather could have been top 10, maybe even top5. The problem is that the only prime p4p top10 fighters he faced were Corrales, Castillo and Hatton. Corrales was heading into jail at the time, Castillo arguably beat him in the first fight (I had it a draw). Hatton win was impressive, probably the most impressive of his career.

He should have fought at least 2-3 of the following fighters in their prime to secure his position in the top10: Manny Pacquiao, Paul Williams, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto, Sergio Martinez. Instead he fought: Judah, Baldomir, Corley, Gatti, Ortiz, etc. Mosley was 10 years past his prime when he stunned May seriously, a post-Margarito version of Cotto gave him a hell of a fight.

There are legit questionmarks surrounding his legacy. It is sad, because in my view he would have been a favourite to beat all of the said fighters in their prime. Prime Pac and Williams could have had a fair chance against him.

It is very hypocritical from him to speak about the need for Golovkin to take "risks". Floyd never took any. I don't think he rates much higher than Pac on the ATG lists.

The OP shouldn't huff insecticide. That's what causes these kinds of posts.

Floyd would be lucky to be in the top 20, ever.
