Oscar is a scumbag, he wants to sign for September 17 based on GGG's value right now in 2016. Knowing full well it will rise a year from now if he beats Jacobs, BJS etc

Usually when you send someone an offer it means you're ready to fight now, is Canelo ready to fight in Dec or Jan? If not then stfu.

    Another predictable BS post.

By next year, his contribution will not be minimal.

GG is on the rise, whilst Canelo's rep has take a huge hit.

GG is well on his way to securing big fights with Jacobs and BJS, which would do very good PPV numbers, enhance his popularity and give him all of the MW belts.

What's Canelo going to do in that same time frame? He'll be on the sidelines before taking a low level tune up.

If GG can beat Jacobs and BJS and own all the belts, the pressure on GBP will be immense.

GPB does not have the power than you think they have. If the fight never happens, it will look worse on Canelo. Because his options will be minimal.

You and the rest of the haters are in for a shock and I'll gladly bump this thread next year.

A flat fee is a joke, and deep down you know it. But you're debating on emotion due to an agenda.

    Both guys need each other.

It will be one of the biggest grossing fights of all time. Canelo won't be able to make that same kind of money fighting anyone else.

There is nothing wrong with a fair split of the overall amount.

60-40 split is a good deal but think gbp will stick to the flat fee to use IV tactics and then finally agree to a 60-40 split when ggg accidently gets ko'd at age 42

    Exactly.

If GG obtains the WBO and the other WBA belt it will give K2 a lot more leverage.

Manny didn't agree to everything when talked about the 50-50 fight, and you're right, Floyds flat fee a couple of years later was a joke. Stop distorting the facts and time line. You don't know my perspective. I haven't given one.

We are discussing facts. Pac asked for a cutoff date to random testing and that means that he didn't want to be tested.

Manny wanted a break from testing due to what had happened with Morales in 2005.

He wanted a cut off, but he was willing to give urine every day and an immediate after fight blood test.

Seeing as though there wasn't a shred of evidence of any wrongdoing and nobody else had an issue with fighting him, there shouldn't have been an issue at all. He never refused to be tested, he just refused to be tested all the way up to the fight. He was well within his rights to request that. That did not mean he was dirty. And Floyd had no issue with testing Manny or any of his opponents until his big mouth daddy had spoke out.

If you want to discuss it further PM me. Although to be honest, I'm sick of talking about it.

    This is about GG-Canelo.

:bandit: Bottom line, Cocaine O$car doesn't really want the fight. In his estimation Canelo will lose to GGG.

:bash: All this posturing is an attempt to restore Canelo's reputation.

So far, it's been an ABJECT FAILURE by GBP as both the PRESS and Public Opinion recognize that O$car's "OFFERS"

    STINK !!!

:risas3: OFFERS is plural as GBP continues to change their "OFFER" in their PRESS RELEASES !

K2/GGG will simply out wait O$car.

He wasn't going to be going through anything that Floyd wasn't going through. And if anyone in this sport becomes suspect, test them. Red flags were raised after that.

Fighters aren't tested all of the way up until the fight. The threat of it is. They know when to draw blood and when not to when a fight is nearing. They know the danger.

Well Said. I think one of the biggest selling points to use against Canelo is that the fan base especially the Mexican fan base saw Canelo handing over the belt as a very cowardly move. I think GGG team can use this to buy his pride back when it comes to splits. If Canelo is seen as a coward not fighting GGG then his fan base and sales will drop so they can argue not figthing GGG is costing Canelo money. In my opinion GGG's team did not capitalize on opportunity when GGG had his belt handed to him. They should of made a press conference statement saying something like "Mexican fighting style has been synonymous with courage, toughness, willingness to take tough opponents, and battle til the death. I hope that since Canelo who is the largest Mexican name out there has not damaged the reputation of all Mexican fighters to mean relinquishing belts when facing tough mandatory challengers" That type of response would have embarrassed Canelo and anger the Mexican fan base.

Not how it works. Its about drawing power not belts. The wat you're suggesting, Canelo should take 95% and GGG 5% if we're going to use resumes.

Canelo is barely 26, he has a good solid 5 years left, and maybe an additional 3 years after that. Canelo is just getting started and will make boat loads. GGG is on his way out and he has wasted his career taking fights against lower tier fighters.
