yep me too if that's right that's not bad you know, look the reality is that pay per view in boxing has had its day,too many folk just stream it or wait an hour and see it on You tube.
So 500k *$18= 9mill divide by 2 =4.5 mil after network gets its cut that that leaves 3.7 mil Total purse for gg vs Brooks = 7 mil That means the fight lost 3.3 mil Lol
Didn't he say 250,000-300,000? I know you are generally biased but at least include everything he said. Heres the guys twitter. https://mobile.twitter.com/latimespugmire?ref_src=twsrc^tfw
I always thought Max Kellerman was on Golden Boys payroll or something as he never asked the right questions but it appears he changed his tune,he basically said that Canelo is being made to look weak by Oscar with his careful matchmaking and his reluctance to put Canelo in with GGG so much so that it may of gotten to the point where Canelo will have to put his foot down with Oscar and tell him to make the fight, remember this that Oscar said he didn't want Canelo to face Lara which makes Oscar the biggest hypocrite ever as he told us all he was about making the best and biggest fights available and yet after Mayweather he carefully matched Canelo with Angulo,Kirkland, and aged smaller guy in Cotto,Amir Khan and now Liam Smith,I'll give Canelo a pass in his two tune ups at 160 cause it's a means to an end but how they gonna sell as pay per views is beyond me? Pay p views should be for big fights only,if you keep drip feeding the public with awful under cards and obvious mismatches like the GGG v Brook and Canelo v Liam Smith the public won't get excited when the big fights on pay per view come round?
Does this include the Golden boy streams? Or am I dreaming it was available by stream from GB directly? You guys know I travel too much and DKSAB...LMAO Still not too bad compared to how past PPV have performed after Floyd/Pac
i used to be a borderline fanboy of oscar, now i cant stand that panty wearing coked out 2 faced snake.
I woulda' bought it for 40 bucks.... Floyd and Pac killed the golden goose and ****ing Oscar/Canelo buried it. 65 or 70 bucks is wayyyyy too ****ing much for a stay-busy fight. PBC piled on by coming out buying every fighter they could get their hands on for huge money and the sum total of all this crap is that no fighter of any renown will get out of bed for less than a million bucks. Meanwhile HBO and Showtime are taking their money and making Game of Thrones and Ray Donovan. Good job, boys.
The PPV model is dying because of illegal streaming. Good, good. May-Pac put a golden seal on the PPV era. It tapers off from here on out...
I remember when that was the case, a guy would fight on normal hbo when fighting a usual opponent and ppv when facing a fellow star
