It's not that easy finding real women to spar with. The men to women ratio is about 10:1 for starters. There are a couple girls there who compete, but they are so much shorter than me that I don't even know how it'd work. My coach might throw me in with them, but they weren't there that night.

sparring guys will be plenty good to learn from, sure they will take it easy on you but that wont matter, lots to learn and get comfy with before you decide to take it more seriously :good

 

Shorter opponents are the worst. The kid that busted my nose was practically a midget, and nobody ever wanted to spar with him. Low center of gravity, and he was like a little tank with a compact build...and he really enjoyed hurting people. Every time he strapped on head gear his face transformed into the HUD icon of the Doom™ guy, when he goes into sadistic "hell yeah I'm fragging hell spawn" mode, or when he finds a BFG.

 

So much for picture proof. You look 5'10" 185 in that picture. Nothing for good perspective in the pic.

Yea I bet if people posted a pic of themselves many of the posters would not look like what they were trying to say they looked like.

Take me for instance people may think thats me in my avatar but you would be surprised it isn't.
