Mayweathers infamous jab to the body 100% counters Tysons Peek-a-Boo style. :lupie:

I really wish that Shawn Porter would adopt this style a bit. I know that he is older and used to what he has been doing but if he incorporated any of that defense he could get to the inside better. Porter is no KO artist but just a little Peek-a-Boo
would make his sloppy defense way better and his offensive shot would connect cleaner.

no doubt. for shawns style, it would be worth studying those prime tyson tapes and learning the footwork and use of the waist for getting inside untouched. it would make him look a lot more controlled, as you said, even if he just used it occasionally.

Even the RJJ (Ruiz) or even Floyd would beat Mike over 12 rounds.. just by boxing..

Floyd would never put himself in the position to lose to somebody of Buster Douglas quality. Tyson was an absolute beast, great fighter but was too undisciplined and unstable to maintain success. Floyd is the supreme boxer. The man is one of the most disciplined, hard working, focused athletes of all time.

Mike was a cruiserweight basically knocking out huge heavyweights.

Imagine Floyd facing someone with a 5 1/2 inch height advantage, (6'1 1/2), 11 lbs weight advantage (158 lbs), and 12 inch reach advantage (84 inch reach).

So Floyd, 5'8, 147 lbs, 72 inch reach vs imaginary opponent, 6'1, 158 lbs, 84 inch reach, Paul Williams (with 4 inch longer reach)?

So you are saying that a physically and mentally, tip top shape Tyson still loses to Douglas? I don't think so. T Briggs had comparable advantages over Tyson and look what happened. Tyson was in shape and predictably mauled Briggs.
