And he's the youngest of them all.

The sport of boxing is in a bad state because most elite fighters nowadays only care about "money fights" instead of fighting the best.

Thank God for Andre Ward.

 

I heard that Andre Ward is eight feet tall. He shoots lightning bolts from his eyes, and fireballs from his arse.

Yeah thank God Ward doesn't care about money. Do you think he would be fighting Kovalev if it wasn't the biggest money fight out there for him? Or do you think he will fight Beterbiev in the next year or so just because hes a good fight for his resume? Or do you think he will skip that fight because there isn't any money in it for him compared to other fights?

 

fighting the best AND making money is 2 birds with 1 stone chief...ward does it all....

beterbiev needs some bigger wins before earning a fight with a god like ward...it aint even about the money

And let me also say that I'm a Ward fan. But come on dude saying he doesn't care about money fights and only cares about facing the best competition is ridiculous. If you ever watched a few interview with him, you would know that's not completely how he feels. He thinks fighters should be paid the most they can possibly be paid for doing their job. And rightfully so.

Yeah I know its the biggest money fight for him and it also happens to be the best fighter in the division other than him that makes up the other half of the money fight. Do you think he would fight Kovalev if he was in Beterbiev's place? A.k.a. The best fighter in the division but only has 10 fights, therefore he isn't a "money fight". Do you think he would choose to fight him just for his "legacy"? Cuz if Ward is only worried about building legacy, than he would fight Beterbiev a fight or two after the Kovalev bout.

 

Why do people use Ward to try and denigrate the likes of Golovkin and Kovalev? Andre Ward is an all-time great. Stop being silly. Kovalev and Golovkin are also great fighters. In terms of resume there's no contest: Ward (Kessler, Abraham, Froch, Dawson), Kovalev (Cleverly, Hopkins, Pascal, Chilemba), Golovkin (Murray, Monroe, Lemieux, Brook). Doesn't mean Kovalev and Golovkin can't become equally as great. We'll see November 19 - I pick Ward to win that fight, by the way.

 

I actually can't wait for this fight, a few questions should be answered.
