Jesse Owens trained to his prime for the olympics. Andre De Grasse on a random day. Jesse Owens on a highly compressed soil https://www.olympic.org/berlin-1936 Check the video a little below, the track Owens was running on was waaay more compressed. Those sprinters weren't on loose soil, the soil was mechanically compressed so you couldn't leave footprints on it. Andre De Grasse on a basically loose sand track with those shoes for his very first time. You're the one with the agenda here. That test is in no way scientific. Andre's track conditions are much much worse. Besides it being a random day for him and Owens being primed for the olympics.
It's not scientific. The both have advantages over one another that would be hard to quantify. What this does show, is that Owens conditions were definitely worse. And that it definitely affects his sprint time. You actually can see the footprints when Owens runs. Looks at his first 5 or so steps, you can clearly see the imprints on the track. What makes you say his track was more compressed? Do you have further details on the study, or are you just echoing youtube comments? Andre is definitely not primed for an Olympic run, but nevertheless, the experiment produces interesting results.
I have no agenda. I have ideas, and hunches. When I have an idea or a theory, I want to see how it does under scrutiny. Sometimes scrutiny makes me refine my thinking, and sometimes the scrutiny doesn't do enough. If a source is false, I reject it, and refine my intuition. Simple.
HD version of Jesse Owens run. You can clearly see footprints from the runners. This content is protected
So this guy just said that the track Owens ran on didn't leave footprints, and Kev basically cosigned. After HD footage of the event was produced, you can clearly see footprints. A rare moment where proof is found. How will they react react? Will they be intrigued at their preconceived notions being challenged? Will they investigate further, or become more balanced in their views on the matter? Or will they just shun it, and reserve their disdain towards people who oppose their agendas for other threads. Hmmm, let's see
I didn't cosign anything, other than the observation that you are clearly the most agenda driven person in this discussion.
Ok then lets put Mayweather Jr in with Wilder, he'll win easily because of his far superior skills right?
That's utter sh*te. The Berlin track was highly compressed dirt and cinder with oil, not a sand lot. And Owens had to run against Ralph Metcalf in front of a packed house not solo with some baldheaded fool trying to time him from 100 meters away. Dude, don't dip into waters that are far too deep for you.
Do you have a source on what the track was made from? Makes sense that it's more condensed, and would be interested to read about the material of the track.. Don't slip into waters that are too deep? lol. Your experience is great, but now is now the time to be gloating in it. I don't know a lick about T&F, but I quickly found a huge flaw with your arguments with a tiny bit of research.
